Initially I thought Iraq is a country that i never visit. But last 3 months, I had a journey of 5 days In Iraq. I have to say they are very friendly and kind. When they know i come from Vietnam 🇻🇳 . Everyone on the street sell me free, they dont get money. What a beautiful country and nice people VIETNAM 🇻🇳 love Iraq 🇮🇶

But I do believe if you want to have an enjoyable time as a tourist in any country you visit best to follow the accepted customs and laws. If I as a tourist am a guest in their country why should I dictate to them how they should live in it. I will say though as an individual person the hijab ban feels wrong to me.

It was fine and like this before the war as well, and was developing at a faster rate than UAE and Saddam was considered a pretty secular leader to some extent. Bad leadership, the gulf wars but most of all the American invasion destroyed it. The country is still suffering, although the last of it was ISIS attempt to take over it, but then that backfired on ISIS. It’s still poor and lots of economic problems, but the random bomb attacks have pretty much stopped, but the Iraqis are different to Afghans like that anyway. Iraqis are conservative and religious too, but Afghans are Pashtuns and Pashtuns are a lot more tribal and extremely strict a bit like the Amish community of USA, which is why Afghanistan will always be the way it is, whereas Iraqis are more culturally and religiously diverse.

These views regarding Iran are pretty recent, nobody was saying that prior to 2015 or so. This is driven purely as the result of the ridiculous amounts of Iranophobia that gets blasted 24/7 everywhere on social media by western and Arab news outlest and Iraqis "activists".

As a genuine Iranian, I hate the oppressive and criminal government of Iraq. They are ISIS, and terrorists like al-Qaeda who carried out 9/11. We are not Iranians at all, and we were not. Rather, noble and ancient civilized people who were Zoroastrians like Cyrus the Great and the Achaemenids, you can not ignore our history.

When I was in kindergarten we had to memorise many countries capital city so that time I thought Iraq and Iran is like brother country.😐 Bcz it sounds almost same.🐸 I read both name together.🙂

Not same at all Iraq is pronounced like "erag" Iran "iiiiiruuun" Erag : arab (mostly), then kurd, and minority turkmen iiiran: perisan(mostly), then azeri turk, then kurd, then lors, then baluch, then turkman, and minority arab Also erag atacked and killed many in 1980 in iran But yes they are the neighbours

@@homayraerin7906 Nice I like bengladesh (we persians pronounce it Bangelādesh) Ur welcome Yes iraq attacked iran in 1980 and killed many. Saddam husein did. Most of the countries helped him includeing west, USSR(it was so interesting that west and ussr were in the same side and helping iraq) and most of the arabs. Iran only had south yemen, syria, lybia and koreas(it was also intresting that both koreas were in the same side and helping iran). After iran, saddam attacked kuweit (he could smell the oil) but in 2003 the u.s attacked and overthrew saddam In 2012 isis attacked iraq. I belive it was the karma of killing children in iran. It's also remarkable that some of iraqis (including shia arabs and some kurds) helped iran in iran-iraq war. And when isis attacked iraq, those shias asked help from iran and iran helped them
