Hotfix is nerfing Shortsword to -25% swing movespeed and Daggers are receiving a damage buff. Perfect timing for a video showing which daggers are the quickest :)
Combo bonus doesn't perfectly add up to (x) extra hits, but it's a close enough comparison to show DPS.
Stiletto has 1 extra weapon damage over the Rondel, so it actually wins out in DPS for daggers.
Rondel is a close 2nd place.
Kris dagger animation is being changed for the next hotfix and this info will be outdated.
ALSO rapier and shortsword swing speed seem to slow down a lot more than daggers when actually passing through an enemy. I didn't test this, but there could be a large discrepancy here.

Interesting to see how overall dagger damage buffs along with shortsword nerf effects things. I'd like to play with daggers again. Maybe even the Kriss with its animation changed once again might be better.

On wiki rapier/shortsword and daggers all have -7% on hit for 0.5 seconds

the wiki is not updated by devs but instead is updated by players that make videos such as these. this is a video of a player's personal investigations on the matter

That is -7% enemy move speed not -7% your own move speed too I think

1. rondel is the best at non stop dmg -(No delay between the attacks, if target ignores you), short sword is the best at all times (you chase enemy, you almost don't lose move speed when you hit chasing the target + you attack faster than rapier)

They actually increased the movement speed you loose when hitting with short sword from 10% > 25%

Big sad about the short sword nerf. Each of the daggers has their place though!! The Rondel and Stilletto have been very consistent DPS and burst for me, backed up by the hit counter in the video. Both I really enjoy using with poison weapon + mag power builds. There is also just something just so satisfying about taking someone down in 1-2 Stilletto combos. I need to see the revised Kris dagger animation but landing the end double stab to the head always surprises people when their health drops at a fast rate.

@@AMMrawCR even a patch ago when dagger mastery was 20% it was slept on. Combined with thrust it was a beast of a combination. Fastest kills I’ve had as a rogue with a purple stiletto.

@cship_8554 that's true! I never trusted that thrust applied properly so I've never used it. Gonna have to try that thing out

@@AMMrawCR in my experience it’s always applied, every time you stab with thrust the perk shows up on the bottom screen and if you press tab while doing so you’ll see the 20% armor pen applied in the stat bar. Def killed pdr fighters rather quick with it too.

Preference, I like Castillon. I find it easier to hit 3 headshots in a row. Stiletto is statistically the best for DPS, so if you can consistently hit your headshots, it is better.
