I think Elixir will definitely quiet many snobs that used to laugh off the Sauvage line. This one is a solid fragrance even on the artistic aspect of it.

I'm not a huge fan of the Sauvage line in general, but I hear this one is different enough to separate it from the rest, so I'm interested to try it. Thanks Max!

I got the elixir last week and its amazing. Lasts forever and projects like a beast for the first 3 to 4 hours. Easily one of the best designer fragrances to come out in a while.

It’s funny how many reviewers mentioned that if you love the edt but weren’t favorable on the other flankers that there was a good chance you may not like this new release. Although that was the case for me (not disliking elixir, I mean with only loving the edt and not caring for the flankers), I ended up LOVING elixir at first sniff when I smelled it. I was immediately blown away which for me having about 10 fragrances (2 niche and 8 designer) of scent profiles I’ve gravitated towards that I favored the most from those profiles, it’s not easy for me these days to find a fragrance that I love at first sniff that makes me go “wow”. I’ve been into fragrances for the last 6 years now. Although 10 may be small for my collection I don’t have the need to buy hundreds of them as I’ve found the specific type of scents I like/go towards. I still go out and about smelling new released fragrances just to see if they are any good and if they could replace any of my current ones especially with flankers off fragrances I own. I would never replace the edt version of Sauvage since imo it’s always a classic to wear that you can never go wrong with. That being said, elixir I agree is so much more mature and that’s exactly why I like it. I’m only 20, but I’m very mature for my age and this will compliment my personality well. The scent reminded me of a Christmas candle, but in a very good way. Not like it actually smells like one, but in the sense where it reminded me of the type of Christmas candles my mom lights in our house during the Christmas season when I’m home for the holidays. It gave me a nostalgic feeling with that and so therefore apart from loving the scent and how well it performs overall, it’s the nostalgia of reminding me of being home for the holidays that has solidified my decision to buy a bottle. I will wait a bit tho for sales to come around like on Black Friday since the price is a little high for me currently.

Edt is for people who like sexy and loud. Edp is little more rounded and tad less loud. Parfum is mature and more like a personal scent. Elixr is a mature and different take on Sauvage. If you want compliments and want to save money. Stick to Edt it will get the job done.

Sauvage EDT has a special place in my heart.

Elixir is my favorite. It has a Beau de jour type vibe to me. Maybe it’s the lavender.

I smelled the new dior sauvage elixir from a hudson bay perfume store and it is an amazing perfume like the original Dior sauvage edt.

Dior edp is still the best even though elixir is unique,but the yummiest comes from edp

I had a chance to try Elixir recently, and I definitely prefer it over the original

2 sprays of vibrant leather boise zara and 1 spray of ebony wood zara vs sauvage elixir

This juice is absolutely unreal. Masterpiece. Think red twizzlers, nutmeg, rich potent and vibrant sandalwood oil with pine in the dry down. I went to the mall to smell the BORNG ADG EDP but came across and fell for this instead. This outshines the EDP - sort of like a flanker of the edp. EDP smells like a sweet spicy stew where as this smells like sweet rich vintage sandalwood table. Less edible. Gorgeous. The best and most potent sandalwood I have ever smelled in a cologne.

Elixir >>>> all other sauvages 2nd place for me would be the EDP

Just got my bottle of Elixir. Batch from 11-23. To me it's the most high end luxury shaving cream smell. That's what I get. Bow tie fragrance guy said it best. Smells 20% sauvage edt, the rest, burberry london.

Only have the OG edt. Elixir sounds great, getting some real hype.

Hate the Edt with its strong ambroxan dry down. Took your advice and bought Dossier’s version which is a blend of the Edt and Edp. Would love to try this one as it’s richer, darker and deeper. Choose me!

Prior to Elixir, the Parfum was the most unique flanker. It smells much less like the EDT than the EDP does. The EDP is the most redundant and my least favorite Sauvage. Parfum is the most misunderstood and underrated in the line.

I did smell this in store and it truly is the best in the line. Would love a decant to take it for a proper test drive.

Lavender! Thats what it is. I was describing it as a fizzy grape soda. Even in the dry down on my skin. I'm not sure if I love this version. But at the same time I can't stop smelling it!

Smelled it and loved it. I still like the the EDP the best but all are quality. The parfum doesn't perform on my skin though

Personally I love Sauvage Very Cool spray for the Summer and Sauvage Parfum for the winter. The Very Cool spray is underrated and unfortunately isn’t talked about enough on KZfaq. I love that it takes that harsh metallic smell away but the famous Sauvage dna is still very present. And the Parfum I really like for cool weather because it’s got a nice depth to it. Also one you don’t hear of much since Elixer came out.

There was another iteration, the second one after Sauvage EDT (2015), it's Sauvage Very cool spray (2017). It's the most zesty of them all. It's my favorite from the line.

I'm just getting into fragrances and starting my collection. I really want to add one of the Sauvage line into it. I think Elixir would be my choice!

I love the versatility of the EDP. But call it hype I might just buy a second bottle of elexir because it is that good.

Elixir is very similar to Drakkar Noir. it cause nausea.

I have to admit it I was dead wrong on this one from when I smelled it from jump I didn't like it but maybe it was bcuz that day it was very hot here in the NY area! Bought a different fragrance that day but salesperson gave me a sample couple weeks later I tried it at my house w AC pumping and OMFG 😱😱😱 INSTANTLY FELL IN LOVE GREAT PROJECTION AND LONGEVITY THIS IS F ING AMAZING CAUGHT A DEAL AT MACY'S HAD TO GET IT!!! I totally agree with your description. First similar scent that came to mind was Zaharoff Signature. Also little facets of Spicebomb Extreme (Minus vanilla) & maybe Toy boy (Minus rose) I only smelled in store tho. Would love to win a decant. Peace

I have all four, but still havent try elixir its still in the box.

I tried elixir, I sprayed it on my arm at saphora. I would def say try it before you spend the money. Longevity was great scent was good but I kept getting a very strong sour note that lasted from beginning to end. it just ruined the fragrance for me. Maybe it’s just me but I’d be interested if anyone else picks up that note.

i haven't tried elixir yet, but as of the other 3 sauvages, i prefer the EDT, great versatility and performance. i have to smell the elixir first before i buy it.

where are the best places to spray this on clothes i don't spray cologne on skin because its terrible to put this on skin

My only question is, if Dior can afford the best talent in the world to make this fragrances, why all the other flankers, I don't like Sauvage, not saying it's bad, but compared to this, it's obviously of lesser creativity and quality, so why? Sauvage dior edt is my favorite I'm on the 3rd bottle don't care what people say and Sauvage Elixir is amazing I got a spray on my wrist and loved it but the price for the size I just can't wish I could. I have all of the line and I am waiting for Elixir to be delivered. So excited to get it. I think these are great.

Mine arrived this morning 25min ago. Soon as I opened my delivery box the whiff of aroma hit me prior to opening the actual package. I am already wearing some Prada Lomme as my scent of the day so since this is a blind buy I didn't know what to expect and just did a 1/4 of a squirt of spray on my wrist just to understand the hype. This scent is amazing and it's literally overpowering my scent of the day. I'm looking forward to wearing this with cooler temperatures ✌🏾

Sauvage elixir reminds me of a 199x shaving cream mixed with a modern spicy oriental twist to it. But a bit unbalanced - too much projection not enough longevity. I think it will smell “more niche” to people who are used to just Sauvage or Bleu de Chanel. I mean it’s a “why not”

Just like max I own EDT, EDP and Elixir. Don’t like the Parfum (Women like the parfum the least as well). My favorite is now the Elixir with the EDP in second place.

I actually have Sauvage EDT. I consider this one the best from Dior it projects off my skin as a mad beast for 6 to 7 hours. I can imagine the Sauvage Elixir it will be beyond beast mode. I need to try it for myself.
