I give a quick update on what’s happening in the wood yard and explain my personal choice of wedge. And you see the Eastonmade 12-22 in action with the 4-way wedge.

I can’t wait. I ordered the 12-22 in January with a 4 way tall, a 7 way box wedge and an extended off feed plate/ tray I know they told me it was around 11-12 month lead time but I am hopeful for an earlier delivery. Has anyone reading this taken recent delivery of an Eastonmade and if so how log did you have to wait

Hello Mike thanks for watching and commenting. Andrew and the whole Eastonmade team are outstanding and will do the best to get your splitter out on time. A year is more of a maximum time frame. You probably will receive it earlier but don’t rush the best splitter you will ever receive and with a team like no other that will help you when needed. Congratulations on your purchase Brad 👌🏻🔥🇨🇦

Hello Dan. I do agree it’s not a cheap piece of a equipment money wise, on the hand if you are into the firewood business I have to it’s been a total game changer on production hands down where my time as been reduced dramatically. Production rate increase 3 times period.

@@savagefirewood I work full time and do wood for myself next year thing start maybe selling. I burn about 4 full cords a year. My dad burns probably double that. So wood keeps me busy. Splitting a face cord a hour is slow. This would triple my production. Not to mention save my back.

@@danshouseofsmokeandoutdoor7119 You can rent a wood processor and knock out your wood needs for the year in a weekend. Friend of mine buys a log truck worth of wood and rents a wood processor for 16hours and knocks out his wood needs. 7-12 cords depending on log truck company

I have the same wedge, the 7 way box wedge and the tall four way. I think I prefer the four way, the box wedge makes too much trash and wood gets stuck a lot
@savagefirewood Жыл бұрын
I agree the 4 way is a great overall wedge and you having the taller one would even be better. The Box wedge is awesome keep in mine what type of wood you are splitting. 98% of the time I have no problem clean straight grain woods like Oak for example makes outstanding firewood. Cheers thanks for watching my friend Brad👌🏻🔥🇨🇦
