Steel doesn't make much of a difference if the frame is wood. If you're getting a steel door for security it's best paired with a steel frame. On top of that, it doesn't matter which door you choose for security if they can break a window and reach around to the latch.

@@MeLlamanJhonnyFun fact 2 years back some people I know built a 3 bedroom 2 bath home in Africa made from cinderblocks & stone complementary with Barred Windows, Steel doors, Triple locks including 1 into the ground, outside the home is a exterior wall about 5.5 feet high with barbed wire on top. All for roughly $30,000 not including the land. Yet still criminals still find ways to get thru the exterior wall & even once try to saw thru the window bars while startling a whole family only running away when they called out a man's name, there was no man but he feared there may be a man in the home.

I've seen the sun melt the glue on fiberglass doors and warp them. My old wood door still looks awsome and strong after probably 50 years. Steel for commercial applications, wood for residential.

Fiberglass 12 insulated requires very little maintenance looks great for years would you have to finish it and clean it up every 5 to 6 years

Our fiberglass doors are 32 years old and still look great! We are getting ready to build a new house and they will all be fiberglass again. We even used fiberglass for our blank doors in the garage.

What doors are definitely nice. You just gotta gap them a little more for swelling and then don't drill your deadbolt closer than 16" from the knob there's no strength when they're close together if you put your deadbolt in correctly with the right spacing you can have almost the same strength as a metal door.

It's one thing if you're trying to secure a commercial property but a steel door doesn't really do much for a residential home's security. Almost all of the time it's the frame/lock that fails, not the door itself. I'd pick wood every time for my home.

You royally failed to mention the energy efficient door which is what most people are interested in because it's obvious what each door look like. We dont need you to tell us the obvious
