Fabulous! Great instructions on the difference! As a greeting card (women humor) illlustrator/ writer, I've been trying to navigate with my new C'Joy how to cut my images to transfer to mugs/ wine glasses...This has been a great way to learn how to create (in bl/transparent), and edit, as was explained in your video about unwelding! I'm going to know have to binge watch your other vids! ! ! Thank you!

Do you think when exporting a PNG to use in cricut design space, is it better to have anti-aliasing or disable it?

It depends on what it is. Anti-aliasing helps when blending colors and 'blurs' things together. So, it's good for photos. I would turn it off for vector/sharp artwork.

I'm new here. So informative! I am very new to designing. I noticed that many people on Etsy that are selling digital downloads of their designs to be printed and made in to screen print transfers etc, are selling the designs as PNGs. I heard you mention that PNGs are flattened. I wonder if that is why most that I see are that format, so that people can not manipulate them? Also you mentioned that PNG's support a transparent background. Do SVGs? Thanks again!

Thank you! I sell on Etsy, and I offer all 3 formats. If they're selling only PNGs, they might be offering them for sublimation or direct-to-fabric cutstomers. That's why I include that format. SVG and DXF is mostly used for a cutting machine or laser cutter. PNG is for printing, although you can also use cutting machine software to switch PNG to a cuttable file (results may vary because the software is trying to 'guess' where the lines go in this situation, though). I hope this helps!

@@SVGCF Than you for the reply. That means a lot to me!! I am so new to all of this and have been working for days to try and teach myself some things. I'm older and not real tech savvy but trying my best lol. Another question that I have is that I have heard so many talk about how they design in Canva but save as a PDF print file so that they can have that 300dpi and then upload that file somewhere like Cloud Convert so that they can convert that file to a PNG. I have learned how to do that but has taken my days to figure out is how then can I take that PNG which is now a 300dpi and get the background transparent? Probably something simple but I can't figure it out.
