I'm japanese but i grew up outside of Japan I've been thought since I was a kid but it is still hard for me to read Kanji and read a sentence properly. 話すことは簡単です
Good job coming up with a nice video. To me Japanese is the most difficult language to learn among all 3. With Keigo and numerous borrowed foreign words, it is as if I am learning multiple languages at the same time. And I am native in Chinese and fluent in English. I can’t imagine the challenges others face from a different background.
Haha! There's actually a lot of Taishanese Chinese in the US and our language situation is pretty much the same as the lady third from the left. Us Taishanese descendants are all very dialect confused LOL but the weird thing is we can generally understand all three (Taishanese, Cantonese, Mandarin) to a certain degree.
I find colloquial Japanese incredibly difficult and linked. I hear people say 「おもしり」 rather than 「おもしろい」、 「だな」 rather than 「たま」、 and myriad other vagaries of “speech as spoken, rather than written.” I am at a point now where I am focusing my Japanese studies almost entirely on actual spoken Japanese, minus any text, because I find that the text misleads my hearing- when I am reading Japanese, I am not hearing what is spoken, but rather, what I think should be spoken. By focusing on the actual sounds people are making with their mouths, it is as if I am learning a very different language.

中国語、英語、日本語どれが1番難しいと思いますか? Which language is the most difficult for you?
