Fyi, in my experience, Oberon's not only for Buster looping. He improves all and he's rather essential in 3T 90++ node which was released shortly after his banner in JP, iirc. His damage multiplier works for all card type, tho more significant on Buster especially. I use him a lot in Art comp team, rather than buster eventhough I have Artoria and Arcueid. My current looper for clearing 90++ nodes are IbukiZerker and welfare Ruler Iyo.

Melu best farmer but overrated asf as a DPS. There are many other servants that outdamage her, she's not even the strongest Lancer in CQs. And hopefully you're joking about Oberon. Melusine is literally standing on his shoulders lol.

@@kun2588 Melusine is overrated? Now that's a good joke. You put her with double Castoria and she'll loop enemy to death effortlesly. Her NP gain stacking is ridiculous. And that's just half of her. Put her with double Koyan Light and she can deal great damage to solo enemy, despite having AoE NP. And no, I'm not joking about Oberon. He is one of the most overhyped Servants in the game. People look at numbers on wave 3 with him and just go bonkers. But then you need to sit for a bit, and you realize that out of all most powerful supports he's literally the worst one. Yes, farming numbers with him are godlike, but you don't need this numbers most of the time, and when you actually may need them - 90++ for example - he's S3 burst may not be enough to seal the deal and after that your DPS is basically dead. Also outside of farming you practically will never use him because his demerits on S2 and S3 make it too risky for bosses and CQ.

She isn't even a good investment from a meta perspective independent of her complementary supports. Without Vitch/Oberon, her Buster AoE form is a clunky gimmick servant and her Arts form without Castoria is a mediocre beatstick with no survival. There are far better DPS investments. That's kinda ridiculous coming from someone who's a Melu fan; Melusine literally stands on Oberon's shoulders. You see, while Oberons S3 is kinda overrated his 70% battery isn't. Melusine without Oberon on farming (which is her biggest strength btw) is stuck to a MLB Prisma Cosmos because her gimmicky nature doesn't allow her to run a Kscope or any starting charge for that matter. Out of all the supports, Oberon is the second best because Castoria is simply too broken. If you think outside singlecore stuff, Oberon with his 70% battery opens up a whole new plethora of multicore 6-slot comps. Even in CQs, he has a decent enough niche as turning any servant into a nuke. It's not hard to bring him out in the last turn and close the fight.

Well, no sh*t, of course. You can pick any great DPS and without supports he's not going to be that good. Second, you talking about Melusine as if only her buster form matters. But that's simply not true. Both her forms are equally powerful. In arts form she is one of the best ST loopers and boss killers (with high NP levels of course) and her buster form have ignore invincibility. You just pair her with either Castoria or Koyan, and she works equally good. Third, yes, Oberon's 70% battery is great... for buster servants. Because only they would not care about demerit on his S2. For arts and quick servants this demerit is horrible and ruins whole flow. And majority of time you would still use his 70% battery with S3 for a final blow.

Ain't no way any of them would be under Melusine lol, as good as she is. Melusine isn't a must-pull in any shape of form, nor is she one of the best DPSs in the game. One of the best farmers, sure. ST looping is completely unnecessary. You have access to cards in most of their use cases, which make it very easy to loop specially for an Arts servant with Castoria and there are far better options for STs than her. Hell, even SummerYu with SSkadi is a better DPS than Melu+Castoria unless you have like >NP4 Melu. There are even Arts 4*s like Kriem, Astrea and SErice who are better than Melu. As a Buster DPS, she ain't even better than ROMA in her own class much less Kuku, Tiamat, AA etc. Melu is most definitely overrated. No, the 70% battery is good for Quick/Arts too. Just use Obe S2 on T3, it's not that hard. Oberon's 70% helps top-tier Arts loop irregular nodes up to 1/2/x or 2/1/x without starting gauge in a CCO setup. That's not overrated.

Agreed, with this the best option is. 1. Castoria (If you don't have her and you have a developed account) 2. Oberon (especially if you are new) 3. Koyanskaya.

@@mrszczurek yeah sure, 130k - 160k hp isn’t high for someone who only hits around 110k on turn 2, and turn 1 0.5x damage is 46k which is pretty laughable if you ask me, since aerial drive lv 60 Spartacus with one waver does 48k (go up to 63k if he proc s3), I'm not saying you should use melusine for 0.5x damage or it's a good idea to do so, but his argument is that because melusine's turn 3 0.5x damage is really high, class disadvantage doesn't matter while completely ignoring the fact that's only true if you can get to turn 3

average rate for ssrs is 300. 900 is your last resort you should have 900 sq for big servants but expecting to hit 900 3 times is very unhealthy

Yeah bro, you have a very good chance of pulling them all within 1200 sq, ive tried it loads on the summon simulator and you have to get unlucky to be spending more than 1200, 1500 if your really unlucky

To be fair, EVERYONE will have a Buster farmer after Cu Caster strengthening. So farmer availability is not an argument. The ACTUAL argument is that Oberon+Support Koyan will give Cu Caster more damage when BG farming compared to double Koyan. T1: Cu Append (20%) S1(30%)+S3 and Koyan S1 (50%) (S3 CD 5>3) T2: Cu S3 proc (80%) + Oberon S1 (20%), Atlas on Cu Caster (S3 CD 2>0, use again) T3: Cu S3 proc (80%) + Oberon S2 (50%)

Get Oberon. Mura appreciates him well because he ramps in NP damage.

Castoria should be first ngl, even with the context of her having frequent banners. A native Castoria is far more valuable than a native Oberon. With Oberon only you won't be able to do much.

That's a hot take. Godjuna is for farming, Morgan is for cq+bosses. If you swap their roles, both will perform much worse.

@@einzweichschein bro, i can tell for sure you either haven't ever used morgan in cq/bosses or you did it wrong (bad supports choice etc). Her entire kit is just pure usefulness against this type of content. Being good doesn't always mean just damage. I could even tell arjuna is quite mid at cq because of the restriction on his 1st skill (you can easily miss your debuffs in cqs) and the lack of survivability. However he's the easiest choice for buster farming and definitely much better at it than Morgan. bruh, i'm arguing about arjuna vs morgan for the second time this week already.

@@perchatka I can say the same for you. You either haven't ever used Junao in CQ or you did it wrong. Junao has guts, with Merlin constant healing and Castoria's defense, his survivability is really good in my case. Morgan is much better for farming because of her battery.

@@einzweichschein Morgan's battery allows looping without oberon, but her damage is so bad in farming that you'd rather pick any other servant even if it's a neutral class modifier. If you have oberon, why not just use him+junao and spank some a*s? Then cq and bosses. Junao doesn't have anything besides those crits, which can also be lost if the boss/cq enemies have debuff immunity (which is quite common in this type of content), so this guy is strong if he can land that debuff, but usually he can't. Even Morgan's crits are more powerful in this case, but her utility is even more valuable. If you bring castoria and merlin along, your team is basically unkillable, while you can still deal very good damage. I'm tired of typing at this point. She's extremely good, comfortable and reliable in every sort of challenge content. I understand that it could be some kind of a psychological thing like "Hehe stronk crits Junao good in cq" or "Hehe 50% battery Morgan good in farming", but the game is just a *little bit* more complicated than that.

he's kinda weird because his battery is so awkward at 25% instead of a flat 30%, saw a buster loop run on youtube you can look it up where it's double oberon koyanskaya, MLB Kaleidoscope/Kaleidoscope with MAX append, I mean you can do it but seems like more of a hassle

Melusine is coming up as well and she is one of if not the best dps in game currently at least for NA(for me) and she's also a lancer, her np damage scales per turn because of the Buster up in her np lasting 3 turns and she's much easier to use.

The way FGO powercreep works is not that a new monstrous content is released as such that old Servants wouldn't be able to tackle it. The top end content difficulty like CQ stays like that, and Robin and Euryale will always be able to clear them if it involves Saber. Lasengle only releases a new ever faster way to farm. So Skadi does not fall off in the sense that she will get slower, but rather everyone else will be faster. Skadi will spit out lotto as fast as she is today two years from now, but by that time there would be others that could spit it out faster than her.

I'd recommend Oberon for you instead. Xnaya made a video on how to use Oberon as a replacement for the other loopers. Just type Pretender system and you will see it. Oberon + Castoria/ Skadi/ Koyanskaya+ DPS.

@@asteriskonline3494 I've only been 3T looping using Paracelsus, Tamamo, Crane and Waver+ a friend Castoria. The dps is either Np1 Muramasa or Chen Gong and I've barely seen any issue with 3t-ing. I think I might take your word for that.
