My main gripe is the lack of affordable enemy builds. Usually I go for two medium sized sets, one for the Ninja and one for the enemies. For this wave I'm unsure what to do, I'll probably end up getting Zane's jet and Cole's cruiser. Still, a 30-40$ crystal dragon or perhaps a crystallised version of one of the old enemy vehicles would have been nice to have.

For me, the only waves I got villain vehicles for were the movie and possession. After buying the legacy golden vehicles, I fell out of ninjago. Now I’m gonna try but the whole wave on discount but the first 2 I’m getting this week is the temple and crystal king, 5 main ninja and 6 villains (2 being crystal king)

The Crystal King Temple, Lloyd’s Golden Ultra Dragon and The Crystal King are three I definitely want, although I do want some of the vehicles as well. And I only want the Samurai X Mech for the Pythor, Garmadon and Wu

I recommend u not to buy the dragon because it's 150$ and tample and the centar mech are same price together. Yeah u should skip the dragon. I em definitely gona buy set number 71768, 69, 70, 71, 72 that will cost me 250. That's got price for all im geding.

The Samauri X mech is super tempting for the figs, but the Crystal King mech just looks so good and has some decent figs too

My approach would depend on which sets get savagely discounted at some point, but Samurai X seems like the must-have set.

The dragon, temple and crystal king seem to be the best to skip if you get multiple but are the best to get if you only want one set.

Personally, I’m only gonna get Kai’s Golden Dragon Raider because Zane’s my favorite character, plus I don’t have Kai or Skylor from any of the other previous seasons, so this is a pretty good buy since this is the only set I’m getting even if it’s the most overpriced set of the wave.

this isn’t official, but i imagine the golden dragon raider can separate its front legs to position itself where people can load up into the cockpit, and also so that it can get into like a ‘canon mode’ type thing. it has those huge cannon weapons, and maybe it could be more accurate or stable to fire them if the vehicle is stabilized. whenever you pinch the vehicle in it is kinda stabilized. could either be for parking to load and unload or to create a huge cannon weapon. that’s at least how i would imagine it. the description on amazon says “Multi-terrain vehicle toy - This unique buggy-style car features a cockpit, 2 cannons, and golden dragon blades. It can also change from road to walker mode to move like a creature.” maybe they mean by ‘moving like a creature’ they mean it’s supposed to use them to walk or something? maybe for crossing crazy terrain? i don’t know. i like my ideas better.

Skip the dragon and bricklink oni Lloyd the dragon is unstable and this is a WAY cheaper option. I don’t care for oni Lloyd so it’s great to skip plus then you’ll only spend 420~ on the other sets

I know mind didn’t really go over different budgets so I’ll recommend what to get if your on a budget $50 : Jay bike and Zane plane is my recommendation but Coles car is not bad either $100 : Crystal King mech and Zane plane, the temple and jays bike could also work, you could also get the three cheap ninja vehicles if you like those or do Kai’s raider $150 : If you want the main ninja do the golden ultra dragon but Sam x mech and Zane jet is the better build. Kai’s raider and crystal king is $160 but it’s my highest recommendation 200+ : whatever you want lol reply if this helped or reply with other budget suggestions and have a nice day :)

What I did was that got every set except the dragon and the temple and saved $230 and got every character. I didn't get all the variants but I got all the dragon ninja and gold variants (except Lloyd because I got his regular version), all Crystal general (including the Crystal King, tho only his 2 armed variant) and all the side characters

As someone who's just about to buy a few crystallized sets, I think I'm going to go for the crystal king, zanes jet and jays bike as those are the cheapest online and get some of the best figures

My current plan is to get the Crystal King sets and the ninja's vehicles, as fig-wise that gives me most of the ninja figs, generals, and good enough henchmen while build-wise i get both the villain builds and most of the ninja's transportation which leaves out only Lloyd's dragon and the Samurai X mech, the mech being what i hope to get in the future given it exceeds my current budget

The crystalized sets just arrived in stores in my country on 1st June did not know it was out went to store 2 days ago saw them and got Lloyd's Golden Ultra Dragon in a heartbeat.

Due to it being my birthday, I got tons of money so I decided to buy Lloyd's Golden Ultra Dragon. The amount of poses and stances you can achieve with it is basically infinite, I even got it to stand on two legs! With some of my remaining money, I decided to get Jay's Golden Dragon Bike due to Jay being my favorite ninja, with his dragon form being great. My only issue with getting either one of those sets is that you don't get the crystallized golden weapon piece, which annoyed me a lot. However, the minifigures that come with both sets and the builds are quite amazing.

I really agree that Crystal King is skippable but that’s the cheapest set to get Lloyd figure. So I’ll still go with the King.

Just bought all 8 sets, definitely worth buying all of them, I spent $800 Australian dollars and don’t regret it. If you can buy them all otherwise I suggest buying the crystal kind and Nyas samurai x Mech

Hm. Actually, Depends on the price. I'll get a cheap set out of the wave, which isnt the best. Basically Jays golden dragon motorbike, is the best choice. Yeah. The best sets are Lloyds golden dragon and Kais raider. Their well designed. Aswell as crystalking set.

Don't care for the dragon figures and the golden versions of the new suits the base version i much prefer. However with DR coming out i need to focus on those now, yh if i can only get one it's the Temple and maybe the Crystal king mech.

I think I will try to get the temple first as it reminds me of the temple of madness and it gets you the 4 main ninja and the main villain then probably try to get Zane and jays vehicles next

I’m personally gonna get Coles dragon cruiser because it’s affordable and the mini figure selection is really good I like Cole and Kai so having them both in a set is pretty amazing and you get aspheera which she looks super cool and a vengestone warrior

I'm more inclined to get zane's jet, kai's raider and jay's bike, then I might, just might, get cole's car and the crystal king, but the other three I will most definitely skip, they are too expensive and I didn't like them that much

I bought the crystal temple since I think it's best for budgeting and you get all the Ninja and the Overlord (minus Lloyd). I actually got it online for $50 instead of $80. I'll probably try to get at least one of the sets with one of the dragon form Ninja maybe the Zane set?

I vote the crystal king and the crystal king’s temple is the start for my stop motion video in the future. Next the vehicles. And then The golden ultra dragon goes last for the finale.

I can see why you said those 3 sets are the ones to skip out on, but honestly: 1: the golden ultra dragon I personally am a big fan of most dragon sets from the ninjago series, I’m not really sure why but there’s just a thing I like about them, and I can’t pass up that oni Lloyd figure 2: the crystal king The model of this set is amazing from the head to the 4 giant legs, I just find this set really cool and the price isn’t really the worst I’ve seen, sure the price is not ideal but it’s decent, plus it comes with the only regular Lloyd minifigure 3: the temple Sure it might not be the best build, but I still think it’s really cool, and it includes a large amount of crystal pieces, and since I make stop motions I’m gonna need a lot of those pieces. And it comes with the ninja without their gold suits, as much as I love gold I don’t really think it fits the rest of the ninja, I prefer the non gold suits And I’m able to afford all of them so I’m just gonna buy them all anyway. There’s just something I really like about crystalized I’m a big collector, what can I say?

Kai's golden dragon raider is the only crystallised vehicle i don't have and I will never get it, I have the golden ultra dragon but I kinda wish I got the samurai x mech instead, so I'm gonna try get my hands on it because the minifigures and the set is awesome!
