I'll pass. S22 Ultra doesn't seem a good buy to me. In this day & age memory is super cheap for any application but not in the S22 No SD card is a BIG deal breaker for me. Will be jumping from a 9 to a 20 Ultra, The last true Note.

I highly regret not purchasing a larger memory size for the note 20, I expected to be able to put a mini SD but nope. Now almost 2years later my memory is incredibly full and I'm contemplating buying a new phone and so unsure of what to do.

I too have the Note 9 but T mobile offered a 400 dollar rebate for it to buy either the S22 or S20 ultra 5g. The S 20 price was also reduced to 1000 bucks. But you get the SD slot with the 20 which I wanted. Just bought a 256 SD card for the 20 so even as an older phone, hate that the S22 has no extra SD slot or headphone jack.

As CJ said, "Once a Note user, always a note user, period." No matter what version of a Galaxy Note phone you have, once you experience what the s-pen does to improve efficiency and usability of your phone you will never go back to any other phone that is not a Galaxy Note or the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

Battery feels its getting a bit better now if that's a1 or yesterday's update I'm not sure. Cloud storage is now going to be key with no micro sd it's more the security of how I store stuff rather than out and out storage volume. Great video again CJ👌

I haven't had an S20U before but I feel it's the most logical move because of the expandable storage and the S22U is going to be more of the hype/enthusiast crowds.

What kept me from getting S22 Ultra was the sd card slot. My s10 plus still runs as fast as the day I bought it. I hope I didn't miss what could have been mine, but I still need SD card slot. My walking library of my entertainment system.

Helpful tip if you ever upgrade: there are usbc thumb drives you can use with your phone to free up storage like you would with an SD card. Downside is making sure not to lose it and having to carry it around if you need the files on it. I got two 128 gb drives for about 18 usd a piece

Still on the Note 10+ here. Lol. That said, if you have the Note 20 Ultra, theres no point in "upgrading," to the S22 Ultra. Its basically the same device with some minor improvements and some big downgrades like no SD card support.

Thanks for the video I got the s22U and I am pleased with it. I had the note 20 and gave it to my brother. I haven't has time to test the camera a lot yet but selfies are nice thus far. I don't worry much about battery because I can charge it at my desk when working. When I am driving it is plugged in .

Great video CJ. Nostalgic heartstrings in full effect 😭. Gonna keep my Note 20 Ultra. While I agree with you CJ, the S22 Ultra is "better" in some regards, I just didn't see that much of a difference in pictures, nor videos to justify an upgrade. I think Samsung offers great incentives to make up for the minimal upgrades. Plus I have a 1tb micro SD card that hurt a playas pocket that I can't part with.

Hey Bro! I dig all your videos and always enjoy watching them but there always seems to be this audio tune that happens that is like a quiet phone ringing or something. Any idea why that always happens to be in the video? I have noticed it in the last 3 or 4 videos and it always makes me think something in my room is ringing and i have to pause the video and listen for a second, only to realize its in the videos audio. 1:56 for example "The screen that I pay for" is what I hear.

me personally like the note 20 ultra's design better than the s22 ultra. I don't know is it the rose gold color that looks expensive or the whole design. I made peace with the camera's bump a long time ago and oh we can easily buy certain case that can protect the bump. anyway CJ I always love your honest review!! Can't wait to see the next note (hopefully there will be the next note with better battery and micro SD slot, I hate the fact that I have to recharge my phone every 3-4 hours)

My 2nd or 3rd time watching your vid as I am waiting in Canada for my pre-order. I was once a SONY XPERIA fan boy but Sony had some hiccups as much of its support in Canada was gone after I purchased a Sony smart watch and ultra phone and had issues so I jumped to Samsung s9+ to s20 ultra and now anxiously waiting for Purolator delivery on the s22 ultra on the 8th of march, cant wait!

If it wasn't for me cracking my front, back and camera lens, I would keep my Note 20 Ultra. But considering they gave me $675 for a damaged phone, the upgrade was a no brainer. Dope vid as always!!!!! 💯💪🏾

That's how they got me with my S21 Ultra with a cracked display. It was $100 more to get a new phone with warranty and perks vs replacing the screen. $795 in trade in for this phone and a Galaxy Watch 4 my wife doesn't use anymore.

Most reviews say nothing about the improved modem over the past few years x50 to x55 x60 x65 ect. It is HUGE as far as connectivity to LTE and 5G network bands. Now they are incorporated into the CPU instead separate like on the note 20 ultra and prior and are absolutely monumental for good reception and speed. One of the most important features taken for granted and never reviewed. This phone with series 8 gen 1 has the most advanced modem to date for excellent connectivity and speed in the most remote places.

I absolutely 👍 with everything you said great video 📹 I also have both devices and yes fingerprint sensor on s22ultra is perfect 👌 it works when fingers are wet sweaty etc n20u does not... For me with n20u I always kept display on quad HD with 60htz now with s22 ultra I have quad HD at 120htz I Honesty don't see big difference in scrolling but like you said I paid for it so I'm gonna use it front facing camera is great especially for dark skin tones colors are natural I bought 512gb so I'm good I also bought a samsung ssd drive type c with 500gb its super tiny for backups which is what on my SD card plus it's much faster than sd card which is why samsung probably removed it...

First two-days with my S22 Ultra the battery life sucked but now it's gotten better over time the battery last me 12 hours yesterday at 21% after fully charging at 12 noon

Can s22 ultra be charged with vooc chager 30W ? as people say 25w and 45w charing speed are almost same like 5-10 mins difference is negligible.

The notes front facing camera looks better and yes the s22 excells in camera quality in every part like macro, zoom 50, 100, etc, but the note 20 did better with pictures when zoomed by 10x. It's like just take the best of every flagship, deal with a little bulkiness and give us the phone of all phones

I own both and have to say that it makes little difference in everyday life, but when playing a huge game, the s22 ultra is worlds better for graphics-intensive applications, e.g. wild rift cod and macig the gatering arena

You must have reversed the two? Starting at 5:19 the photos from the s22 (on the left) looked muddy and flat compared to the NOTE 20U, the car video of the Note looked way better too. More contrast and better clarity.

I wasn't really using an SD card due to if I were to lose my device or it gets stolen I can just erase it remotely and not have to worry about anyone having my private info, photos and videos. But the main thing that I'll miss is MST. I've said this time and time again. There's still several places that don't have upgraded systems, and I've had times where I didn't have my card with me and didn't have to worry because Samsung pay works everywhere because of MST. With the Ultrasonic FP scanner turn animation off, it works faster i have yet to see a tech reviewer do it with it turned off

Samsung has definitely lost it's Innovation,i'm definitely sticking with my Note 20 Ultra. Everyone is really hiping up this S22 Ultra when in reality the only comparison with the 2 is the S-Pen,nothing else wooo's me like the Original Note series.. Sd card support was Major n to not have that is a big lost n total disappointment for me .It's like they're tryingt to turn they phones into Iphone. SMH...New processor is great, and the 5yr updates,but as of now the Note 20 Ultra processor is just as good...

I'll keep my Note 20 Ultra due to the fact you can replace the battery unlike the later models I heard. Also, the SD slot is a real biggie for me as I have way too many videos/pics to try and transfer. I actually returned the 13 Pro Max for the Note 20 Ultra.

The only downgrade for new s22 ultra is the quality sound of speaker from note 20 Ultra maybe bcoz of the s pen and a bigger 5000 mah battery of s22 ultra it can't accomodate a greater speaker. So that's bad.

I sent in my IPhone 12 Pro Max “ i’m not using I have a 13” for the 20 note ultra i’m nervous I hope I didn’t make a mistake. I should receive the phone in about three days, of course I’m not using my old iPhone it was just sitting in a box but still.. I want to try an android phone, my husband had the note 10 I was jealous of it. I love the idea of an S pen, and I want a big screen. I don’t consider iPhones having a very big screen, why don’t I just get a tablet? I need a phone, I don’t want to drag around multiple devices. I hope it’s worth it 🤞🏻

I traded my wife's S20Ultra for the S22Ultra and it feels similar to my GN20Ultra and they both look alike. The S22Ultra does feel faster and is the screen is brighter. Would I trade in my GN20Ultra? It's a no. Thanks for the comparison.

No reason for these phone companies to remove the SD card slot other than to increase profit margins. Just like them not including a charger in the box which is incredibly stupid after spending hundreds of dollars on a phone.

I had the note20 ultra decided to upgrade to the fold 4...do not like it at all... I am going back to the note 20 ultra for sure...was thinking about the s22 after seeing this video I'm most definitely sticking with the note 20...they most definitely need to continue with the notes they are the best smartphone out here

S22 ultra pros: better cameras but not worth upgrading imo...much better finger print scanner... battery I am getting pretty much the same battery life that I did on the N20U however on the S22ultra I'm rocking WQHD with 120hz...more responsive S Pen...brighter screen but the N20U is already bright S22ultra cons: weak vibration on calls and texts messages, you will miss calls. I might be nitpicking here but the loudspeaker has much less bass. No micro SD slot Is it worth the upgrade depends. Samsung trade in deal ($850 for the N20U) right now is ridiculous you might as well.

Even at the 1 TB S22 Ultra being more than the top tier Note20 Ultra (maxes out at 512 GB), the Note can take up to a 1 TB Micro SD card...so it can have a total of about 1.5 TB of storage. Sucks that somewhere along the way a couple years back, Samsung did away with adoptable storage. (but given that back when it came out alongside Android 6.0 Marshmallow, a lot of Samsung devices had the feature disabled until a software update allowed you to enable it, methinks that Samsung ain't really want anything to do with it anyway...) Outside of that, and outside of price, the Note20 Ultra admittedly really has little to no advantage over the S22 Ultra. And being a two-year-old device already does it no favors at all. 😞😞😞

Just got my s22 ultra yesterday and haven't opened the box. Still deciding if I should keep my note 20 ultra but with trading it in I got the 256 graphite 22 ultra and samsaung galaxy 4 watch lte for 595 bucks after taxes would ya send the 22 ultra back and keep note 20 ultra or send the note 20 ultra in and enjoy the new phone and watch?

@@CJKnowsTECH thabks for reply man.....see and I just ain't sure thought if I opened it I'm stuck with it also had a uag kevlar delivered altho after opening that I don't think it's worth the money nor do I think it would protect it as good as a supcase ub pro and definitely not as well as otterbox defender pro... looks cool but no way it protects as good as I need. My wife and I have 3 kiddos all under 8 yrs old amdy job I'm outside yr round in mn so need a tougher case if I keep it

Why the Note20 better camera quality??? For sure the selfie outdoor and looks like the one inside you just moved. The S22U looked like beauty mode was on. The Note20 was way clearer.
