I’ve had both pre-lci and lci models (2020 & 2023). The ambient lighting colors have changed in the idrive 8. Pre-lci colors were better and richer, with bicolor options. Also infotainment system in the pre-lci is much more integrated than the one in the lci. Pre-lci is more modern and rich though. Also miss the shift knob from the pre-lci. They also got rid of the lil pocket storage on the left side of the steering wheel in the lci. The 2020 def burbles a lot more and sounded amazing from factory. The lcis sound muted in comparison. Pre-lci is also easier to mod with dme. Start/stop is gone cause of the mild hybrid system unfortunately. But at least it minimizes lag. The power trunk is available on the 2023 as well, just need the premium package. Both great cars, just down to preference. Great vid 🔥

At the time of order for me, there were shortages on the power lift trunk sadly. I also didn’t notice the lil pocket storage. Thanks for watching !

LCI front bumper seems more cohesive, PreLCI with laserlight and blacked out housings on a darker color still looks great, theyre both very good, but LCI is definitely better for lighter colors
