As a bottom tier main, I can absolutely confirm thay Zelda hard carries me. It becomes so obvious when I play the same person for 5 or more games, because once they learn my limited options, it is like someone flips a swirch, and suddenly the game feels unwinable.

@kk12ie All three of you are right, because there is a difference between Matt Cupp's Zelda & M2Ks or the Lakes. Same with Kirbys (hah). If a certain tier of zelda player played against blur (lets say, JMook for now) we know how tough that will be.

I'm a Marth main and I played a Zelda at big house and at first I was like "fuck I bet they know what they're doing" and then it was just bair bair bair bair. I don't know what combos work on Zelda so I just kinda won the war of attrition.

As a bad player, fox carries me hard, the ability to dictate the tempo of most matches, all those safe options, the reliable kill setups are all amazing tools for a low player. With low tech skill fox is amazing. My lowtier switch character is also great at giving me games/sets id never win just on Fox solo just with matchup knowledge.

As a Luigi player I can confidently say that the mushroom kingdom chars & clones can def be carried at times. You have to play so different around their cc options bc we can cc a ton and our smashes all come out like frame 2-3. Our hitboxes are oddly disjointed and our aerials have a ton of priority so you have to really know the spacing. That being said once you truly learn the mus you'll dumpster us.

My friend went to Japan and beat everyone there with his Luigi, including Capt. Jack. All his other characters got bodied. I guess nobody knew how to play Weeg in Japan.

@@drumlessons833 he's super unique, Luigi's almost like a landmine, there's a lot of scenarios where you hitting him is how he gets his openings. And plus he's extremely slippery if you have good movement. People aren't used to a character throwing out grounded moves without a pivot but Luigi is constantly actionable bc he's always wavedashing.

lol we weren't just annoyed at PPMD for making the bowser challenge political, we were annoyed at GG as a whole for setting up the challenge wrong. Team attack has to be OFF, no one in that video actually won the original bowser challenge. You can't set up a video with "oh Armada only made it X far" and then make the challenge *way way easier.*

Speed, agility, and grabs can make up for a lack of skill more than anything. Fox, C.Falcon and Shiek carry low/bottom tier players the most imo.

Low and bottom level players don’t know how to use the speed I would argue. Low level Marth fsmash and Falco laser are the best moves in the geamr

@@okokokok9445 That's true, however most low level Falcos I see have alot of trouble with lasers and movement. Falco has inherently awkward timing and a long jump squat, it takes a bit of practice to get good at it. Marths F smash is a no brainer, that can carry anyone.

This series is very fun but I always feel like the answers are lack luster from the cast. They're too scared to give the real answer. If you're going to keep doing these, I wanna hear "yes I pee in the shower!" and "Moky is totally carried by his character" kind of answers. Make it fun. I feel like the questions always get dodged for some vague response.

I'm a Marth main. Unfortunately, I haven't done ranked in slippi yet so I don't have a rank for context, but whatever rank I'm at (fluid movement when warming up, basic matchup knowledge, little tournament experience i.e. probably very low), I can definitely say fox carries at my rank. It seems that when I'm doing poorly against someone as Marth, if I just switch to fox and shine, shine, shine some more, and up smash, I get the wins I wasn't getting as Marth.

disagree about fox carrying people. as great as fox is, every single melee player in the universe knows how to fight fox inside and out. he's easy to edgeguard and is able to be comboed by many characters. the only characters I ever felt slightly carried some players were jigglypuff and ice climbers when wobbling was still legal. If I had to pick a top tier character i'd probably pick sheik. I've seen a bunch of pretty bad melee players that were carried by her...shield grabs...downsmash, throws...etc.
