@@cooperdunn3808nah it isnt. I couldn't care less about fantanos rating, as everyone is entitled to have his own opinion, which I respect, but still it is just his opinion. Kanye makes great music, but mid albums. There are so many bangers on the album, but also so many terrible, boring songs which I skip. And the only bar for an album I have is that I should listen to it from start till end without having to skip a few songs. When half the songs are 8+/10 and half of them 4-/10 well it should be rated somewhere between 5 and 6.5

Atleast Stankonia doesn’t have a skit that’s literally just fucking. Ready to Die would probably be the better album if it weren’t for that skit, but because of that one skit Stankonia’s the easy choice.

@@owl509 I did not, I literally said that Ready to Die would be the better album if it weren’t for that skit. So clearly I don’t think the skit describes the entire album. I think both albums are fantastic, every real song on Ready to Die is a 10/10, but the fact that it has a straight up 1/10 skit on it does enough damage to the album’s overall quality that it makes Stankonia easily the better album.

Easily Miseducation. For me it’s not even close. TPAB has sloppy production, repetitive bars, recycled messages from the greats, copied lots of production elements from MF Doom and overall just doesn’t hold up to the hype around the album. I would be hard pressed to call it good because it sounds so incomplete.

@@JetWindTV To Pimp a Butterfly has the best execution of the blending of live instrumentation and synthetic production in hip hop last decade. Rakhi, George Clinton, Thundercat, Knxledge, Robert Glasper, Terrace Martin, Sounwave, etc., didn’t produce anything “sloppy” on that album. Also, the concept on TPAB with the poem has never been done and hasn’t since. What bars were recycled? You’re making no sense.

@@bnc420nah. I get that it is a great concept album but the production isn’t for me bc I prefer more modern production like on a trap album but tpab went back to older production. Probably one of my least enjoyable albums I don’t think I liked one song on there good enough to add it to my playlist which it’s a concept album, not made for playlists but still. I think damn is better even tho I don’t really like that one that much either. But gkmc and Mr morale have decent replay value

Lots of TPAB slander in this album when people don’t understand the story behind it. I know lots of people listen to music for the beats and enjoyment (which is fine by all means, music was made to be enjoyed by all people), but if we’re in the talk of the best album of all time, the story behind TPAB is the best of all time. TPAB is the story of a rapper who’s attempting to find fame, and combined with the god tier storytelling to drive this home, this album also contains some of the best production on all the songs, especially Wesley’s Theory, it has some of the most creative drive in any album to date, which is what’s most important because personally, I don’t want to listen to Taylor Swift who makes the same generic album every year (to be fair, Taylor’s “generic” style is still amazing and she has so much talent, it has just become very uncreative and boring after a while). Its story, creative feel, production, and amazing songs like Momma and Alright give it amazing replayability makes it the best of all time. Now to be fair, this album has slight production flaws and Kendrick’s voice can be annoying to some people, but not every album is going to have every single aspect perfectly done because humans aren’t perfect, this is just the highest peak in music we have to date, and I wouldn’t doubt this album stays top 5 of all time in 100 years.
