Peele’s allegory for “keeping the whites and the coloureds separate” with this one image of milk and Froot Loops was amazing. One of the reasons he’s in my top three current horror directors.

I'm gonna be honest, I haven't seen the original Child's Play or Pet Semetary (watched the remake and read the book for this one) and my attention to food details is low, but the only one I didn't get was the cereal one. Scream, because it's a meta movie about the tropes so having a tension building food makes sense, Ghostbusters because the actors and the era fit the twinkie vibe, and the Shining because of how big a theme of alcoholism is in that story (although there is always a little bit of alcoholism sprinkled in the Stephen King novels of this era, seeing as that's what he was battling at the time).

I took me nearly two weeks to finish the book (after reading the first 3/4 of it in a day) because I know exactly how Stephen King is with kids and I knew that no matter what, there wasn’t gonna be a happy outcome. Don’t know if I’d be able to handle watching it on a screen after that

Up until the other day, I hadn't had a twinkie in many many years. Someone gave my son and I one, and I instantly noticed how much it had changed. It was not the Twinkie I remembered from my youth, it was way better back then. Seeing that clip of Ghostbusters, it confirmed what I had remembered, at least in how a twinkie used to look.

The reason the cereal was separate from the milk is because she wants to keep the colors separated from the whites.

I think Brian Williams got a bad rap. It's a known phenomenon that when you recount a memory, you rewrite it in your mind. I think he told the story in a more exciting way for a talk show, and it affected his recall of it the next time he told it.

The dude claimed he was in close quarters combat for clout. The pilot of the chopper he was in told the true story. Look it up.
