I use almost exclusively Argus, if the prey is so close the magnification is too high, it means it's close enough for me to switch to iron sights. Works perfectly for me and is a good enough excuse to do some shooting the old fashioned way. I sometimes use one of the smaller magnification scopes if I take a secondary, lighter rifle for smaller prey, but I always have Argus on my "big boy" guns.

Nice one. I like the hyperion too. I remember first buying and using the argus as I aimed at an animal, was thinking this is way too close up. After than I forever stuck with hyperion, as I am more of a "close range player" . I keep to 150m and closer. Long shots on good tier animals are "risky"

I carry both scopes, because if I need a shot at long range over 300 or so yards I would use the argus. Anything lower I would use the hyperion

Im an argus kinda guy but when i take a fallow up shot i zoom it out and in again and takes the shot i just prefer the zoom even if i understand why people likes it

Even if you want the Argus, get the Hyperion first anyway. It will make your life a lot easier and you will be able to rank up and get money faster.

What do you think about EW adding the 17 Super Mag for animal classes 1-2-3, the 6.8 SPC for 3-5 with a semi auto 10 round mag with a suppressor option and the option to do a canted red dot, and the 50 bag for 8-9 and having the ability to get 90%+ quick kill out to render on any of them and drops any animal 6 and down with any organ hit. And a larger scope for it as it would be a good sniper. Maybe a 6x24x50?

I use both mostly the Argus just because I carry a rifle for 150 plus and like the bow for anything closer. Both are very good and can be interchanged as the best

What about the Helios

New hunters often think they need the highest magnification available. In reality you just want the magnification necessary for the shot. Higher magnification makes movement seem exaggerated because it is the same movement, just being looked at closer.

It's not the scope that kicks you up it's the gun 338 and 7mm have a lot of recoil

Farcry 5 is a better game for hunting, you play in Montana US. Tons of variety of animals, tons of ways to get around, You can go Fishing for different types of fish at different locations, animals like Bears attack and maul you. I would suggest anybody looking for a hunting game, to get Farcry 5. Do some challenges to get money and guns, then you go hunting, skin the animals, sell the skin, and upgrade your weapons, get more arrows, etc, with the money. And most of all, it’s not boring, plenty of animals, excitement, faster travel.
