Catastrophe Shigaraki has been in My Hero Ultra Rumble for a few weeks now and I figured it was finally time to ask the question of who many of you prefer, the old shigaraki or the new one. I think I definitely like them both and they each have their unique playstyles but the mobility of catastrophe shigaraki has me playing him more then the strike variant. Curious to know all your thoughts and hope you enjoy the video.

They both have their strengths and weaknesses like strike is better for thirsting and can kill through shields but can not attack enemies in the air but assault can attack air enemies and do high damage combo’s but when thirsting he has to use most of his resources so if you get caught while thirsting or after you are basically dead and if the combo doesn’t kill he is dead so I think they’re even

The thing with the striker shigaraki is that he is grounded if he wants to do any of his attacks compared to the assault shigaraki where he is an annoying airborne version

Tbf Strike can deal with Bakugos or Ochacos pretty well despite them jumping or flying everywhere, dealing with Assault isn't much different to them.

I think if u really want melt people on the ground red shigaraki late game its incredible but early its really hard to use while yellow shigaraki its more consistent in all moments of the game also cause u can run away more easily going up on a building for example. Probably yellow shigi its better but if u want have fun sometimes, and melt people, red shigaraki its your choise😂. Super video Demon❤ And btw only real fans know that this is not the first time of this video haha

I love fighting both forms of Shigi, they both have their own unique play styles that are both equally hard to counter. Also, I'd love to see more Kendo gameplay! I've always felt like a good Kendo is more of a dueler than any of the other characters, and I'd love to see your master gameplay of it?

@@CharismaticDemon_A tip from a lowly Kendo player myself, if someone bounces off your Beta with a Melee, try to follow it up with a full Melee combo into an Alpha! Even if they have shields, if you're fast enough, it's a free 88+ extra damage, up to 110 at level 9, slightly outpaces just a raw clap

Unfortunately i don't have the new Shiggy so i can't say for that version. But he looks fun. But he's so much fun for the strike version in my opinion. He just melts health bars and if your in an enclosed space it's over. Amazing Gameplay as always man.

Depends on the character. If you have armor trading with him is your best bet. AoE attacks just bait him into a closed space. If it’s someone like bakugo all you can really do is time your dodges right and hit your shots

Happy you decided to try it! With bakugo just get the hang of landing your shots while staying mobile and connecting with your grenades and gamma. Dabi’s more defensive with traps and the fire wall plus his alpha tracks to nearby targets so you can fire it away freely

After getting assualt shigaraki (it took 96 rolls😭) 2 days ago & playing with him, i personally love assualt shiggy more than striker, not just bc he has mobiliyy, but bc he can chase low ppl with ease. Ive gotten 3 games in a row with 8-9 kos (unranked bc ive already reached ace rank)- Striker shiggy is much more of a threat end game so he does have that for him. But im in love w/assualt shiggy rn so yea. Plus i use gyroscope/motion controls (im a switch player), since assualt shiggy constanly has u moving, motion controls helps me bc i can throw my betas/alphas & snipe ppl from afar (my 2nd main is compress, so im good with aiming his projectile, & shiggy's alpha & beta are thrown in an arc like compress' alpha) Srry for the paragraph, but i have a content idea A video tht consist of u spinning a wheel for a random character, then a seperate wheel tht randomly decides what u lvl up 1st, 2nd, & 3rd (if u get compress he can be excluded, but u can try to fight with him w/out trucks :)

mirko rapid speed=second fastest jump=froppy melee=kick, kick, backwards handspring kick air melee=froppys alpha=luna rush, rush forward while delivering a multitude of side kicks in quick succession ammo=2-3 damage=75-95 all together range=lida beta travel distance but you keep momentum, no tracking beta=luna ring, basically lidas alpha but doesn't travel in the air, and doesn't combo into another one ammo=2 damage=80-100 gamma= do front flip like midoriyas beta, but if you hit someone, you grab them, backflipping before slamming them into the ground ammo=1-2 damage=100-150 special action= press to enter/exit instinct, while with instinct, your faster, jump higher and you gain a smaller hitbox, you lose it if you hit someone, hold to momentarily see any enemies using your hearing, its up to you to mark them with danger pings for your teammates to see

It's assult by a Long shot. Not only does he do more damage around, but he covers strike shiggys 1 weakness. Strike shiggy is alot more fun tho, he got that domain expansion

nappa from dbz assault ( im not sure if assaults are meant to be tankier one hit versions of strike characters) hp=350 gp=250 melee= 3 punches with the last one sending a shockwave forward air melee=elbow speed and jump=endeavor size=3 alpha=create a powerful explosion from the ground with a simple flick of the finger max range=midoriya assault alpha damage=85-105 ammo=4-8 beta= create a wall of explosions by swiping your arm doing massive damage over a wide area range= mount lady-all might damage=90-120 ammo=2 area= a cementoss level 9 wall at level 4 gamma= shoots a beam from his mouth, it does constant damage and you can move it slightly size=endeavor level 4 alpha damage=shiggy alpha range=todoroki alpha special action= flight same as before, shortest flight, around endeavors. all I want to see in this game is broly and endeavor yelling SHOOTOOO!!! and KAKAROOOTT!!!

the new and old shigi swapped counter plays while the old shigi gets destroyed by anyone with mobility the new one strives on you trying to run away so he can follow you with his ridiculously short cooldowns (the only thing that might need to be looked at are those cooldowns) but is now less great at fighting strike shigi's good matchups like kiri and toga and somewhat momo depending on what type of momo it is cause he was able to just place stuff to destroy their health bar before they could get close but most of the new shigi's damage is close up so i think they switched matchups in a way (oh and i hope they fix strike shigi's grab i get killed from it bugging all the time)

kai chisaki aka cementoss meets shigaraki class= strike hp=350 gp=250 melee= punch punch, grab then ground slam air melee= air choke dragging opponents down special action= a swipe that one shots buildings and does 90 damage directly to health, staggers opponents so good for combos alpha= break the ground in front of you in a fan like shape, creating spikes on the ground, goes up buildings, its narrower than shiggys assault alpha spread, ground only like strike shiggy range=shiggy level 7 range at level 9 damage= a single 55-85 hit ammo=3-6 beta= create spiked floor around you with bigger spikes acting as a wall damage=small spikes (inside floor) 45-65 and big spike wall=95-115 ammo=1 size=shiggy level 9 beta always gamma= create todorokis heaven piercing ice wall from the anime, but rock, its like todorokis original beta, but way bigger damage= 100-150 ammo1

seiji (meatball) class=assault speed=endeavor jump=midoriya hp and gp=bakugo melee = punch, punch, giant hand crush air melee= giant palm strike alpha= tap to send of a 4-7 fingers at once, like a shotgun, they do not spread, they are like afo air cannon, but wider and shorter, hold to launch a hand which is like afos uncharged air cannon but with todoroki range range=mount lady- todoroki ammo=4-8 damage= finger=15-23 each, hand=65-95 beta=imagine kendos clap but instead grabs the opponent and slowly attacks health like shiozakis grab, teammates cant hit them though. ammo=2 damage=85-115 gamma= cover your self with your hands before launching yourself wherever you want, you are safe while in the hands ammo=2 damage=50-75 special action= while downed, make a giant hand ground slam, creating a kirishima level 9 shockwave while reviving yourself

Assault Shigi definitely is better overall imo, he really doesn't seem to far off in terms of damage output and as you mentioned many times, his mobility is just far superior. On top of which his alpha is easy to hit and his gamma is fast and has great tracking. He is also way harder to fight as well lol.

Interesting. I honestly will say that I can go either way. Strike Shigiraki has the damage but lacks mobility, while Assault Shigiraki has the mobility, but somewhat less damage. I also feel like Strike Shiggy works best with the old map from how much ground there is, while Assault works with the new map from how much buildings surround it. Just my opinion

Yeah they both have their game plans and do them well. In my case I just like my character with mobility so I can chase people down so I’ll prolly lean more towards assault over strike

I hear people say Assault feels slower in comparison to Strike. He got the vertical movement, but he's less nimble. Strike can zip around in free direction for the same distance.

Assault shigaraki is so much better i fear, mobility hitstun and actual chasing unlike strike. He only loses in AOE and damage but when you realize how much mobility is required in this game its a very good trade off

Gotta admit, still prefer strike shigi over assault. I wouldn't play him on the old map, unless you have a death wish. With the constant corridors and ambush spots, he shines on the new map. That dopamine be hitting when u catch a team lacking with lvl 9 alpha spam.
