As an Arjuna fan it does kinda hurt to know that Arjuna isn't the hottest pick here (even after his buff coming soon), but it's also completely understandable too. If you're a new account just straight up go for the best picks (mainly Waver), having an easier time in this game is a lot more preferable than trying to struggle with your favorite character, you can still bide your time and get them eventually on a focus while still having a good backbone to most comps rather than having someone (be it Arjuna or others in the lower end of this tier list) that needs specific supports to them and doesn't shine in a lot of situations.

As an side note to video, Tamamo is a favorable pick for another reason, if one has an Account filled with high quality Arts Loopers like Spishtar or Sitonai: she effectively functions as 'Arts Insurance' for the Castoria Meta. Or in other words, the foxy lady can serve as your main enabler for Arts Looping if you can't get the sword fairy or have all the luck of thrice cursed crook with bad karma with your pulls. Together with Paracelsus (or Nero Bride, for some) and virtually any 50% CE (Especially Arts ones like Painting Summer, or the likes of Magical Sapphire) you have the makings of a more than half-way decent Arts comp with a Support Castoria and your preferred looper. Sure, you have to use a plugsuit to make it happen with most Loopers, and spread out the Mats to kit out two Casters, but it's either that or not having all an easy in to the Arts Meta, so you work with what you got. In general I say Waver is still the stronger pick that Tamamo for accounts without access to either, but if a given account has a heavy hitting Arts AoE Servant like NP2+ Fionn, Grailed Jason/Salari/Gong, or the likes of Spishtar and Summer Musashi then it maybe a more worthwhile to get Tamamo now and hope/pray you can bag another 50% NP support later (or save your 2nd *5 Ticket for Waver if the fates _really_ have it out for you).

I’m glad I got Mikon, so I can just get Waver without any remorse and get Cu Alter when the second ticket comes around.

Thank you for opening my eyes to the Chen Gong System! Even with just using double Nero Bride instead of Castoria, Gong loops EVERYTHING. I do have to give Merciless One to my Wave 1 sacrifice (Tamamo) to compensate for Reines's current 30% charge in Wave 2, but Skadi works fine for Wave 3. Waver is going to immediately replace Reines so I can drop Merciless One. I was even able to make a lower powered version that doesn't require any 50% chargers (MLB IE, Tamamo, Nero Bride x2, Reines, Paracelsus with Merciless One). Chen Gong is just amazing and he's solved all of my farming woes.

7:31 I was originally going to get Waver for 50 NP charge then I got Reines where she has same role as her brother so I just need to patient about it, then my next target is Osakabehime because I actually like her gameplay but I got spook by her during the Saber Wars 2 Event, and so destiny provides me a way to get Ganesha with the SSR Ticket.

Three-plus years of low-to-mid-range whaling and I'm still yet to be spooked by Tamamo Caster (Cat on more than one occasion, but not Caster). She still has value even with Castoria, so she'll be my first choice. Though NP2 Artoria Prime was very tempting.

Okky is a good pick simply because she's a unique tertiary buffer for a buster/quick team IMO, for someone who doesn't have Merlin she's a big blessing when story limit you character choice, I also have MLB KScope so I can get her going pretty fast, her problem is really, like Skadi, neither snowball their NP because their battery is only targetable

Ah yes the obligatory "Arjuna bad" reddit opinion, very cool. Dudes actually a very solid soft survival Archer. There's many solos that are right up his ally. But yes, for farming usage he isn't ideal.

I really want to pick Bradamante because of her THICC NP animation, but she is most likely going to rot without ever getting use after ascending her

I really don't agree with Oki placement, obviously she isn't Merlin or Skadi, but her kit does have some really interesting buff (party wide crit, removing buff, a battery, quick and buster buff), plus she can be really good as a last man or solo servant. She isn't a priority but she definitely is way more useful than someone like Sherazade or Orion.

I've been mulling over my options and narrowed it down to NP2 Ozymandias, NP2 Enkidu, or just Ganesha as a new servant. It's tempting to get the boost in power from NP1>2 but it's conflicting with event servants being in my roster at NP5 with decent skill levels.

since I have all of the non-limited support units I was going to go for saber, but Artoria wants like 180+ proof of heroes (I only have like 10), next on my list was Karna but he wants like 216 proof of heroes, so it came down to just picking a unit that I want but wouldn't roll for and on the top of that list was Europa so I guess she is my choice.

I'm a seasoned fgo player and I still think getting a Ascension level 1 and bond level 5 is really difficult if you actually have a life outside of playing the fucking game. Alas, I'll probably pick Mordred and attempt to get her requirements done so I can keep it.

I'm gonna be honest I'd basically swap Xuanzang and Enkidu's places, especially with what Koyanskaya offers. She's literally the only servant in the game with full-turn party-wide debuff immunity - on a pretty good cooldown at that - and her 80% charge is also on a 5t cooldown. Two Koyans, the 20% charge append skill, and the 20% charge mystic code or swapping in Merlin? 3 consecutive beefy NP turns with whatever CE you want. Plus your alternatives for ST casters just really aren't there, especially not on a budget level. Enkidu's great and all, but the clunkiness makes for way less consistency in the niche - especially in a world where Cu Chulainn is literally just about to be buffed to be even tankier and harder-hitting, we're just about to get Lancer Yu who's pretty decent, and even Gareth's getting more to play with.

I already got the top tiers, Artoria, Altera, Enkidu, Karna(spooked me on Musashi yesterday), Achilles, Ozy, and Vlad. This leaves my choices to Mordred, Jack, Batty and Jinako. I have plenty of Sabers that can take Mo's place, Kama at NP2, and before I forget..I got Iskander and Odysseus, as well as an NP4 Helena. So yeah, Batty is actually my best choice.

Like the logical thing for me to do is probably pick up either tamamo or enkidu but I kinda want to go for europa, osaka or jinako

I've been torn on either Jeanne or Ozymandias for longest time. I like both of their designs, their VAs, and both are waifu/husbando as hell. (plus my only other ST Rider is Ushi...) I'm gonna have to sleep on this one, because I genuinely can't pick between them

Best you pick imo : 1. Waver (if you don't have one) 2. Tamamo no mae (if you don't have one) 3. Jeanne (if you don't have ruler class) After that i think you just need pick someone with good damage like Arthuria, Ozy, Jack, etc The reason why 1 & 2 pick first because they servant who already max potential without any copies. The reason number too just if you don't have ruler class.

I was really indecisive and so watched 7 of these videos, can say for certain yours was the best one. Thank you for showing the attack animations of each servant, i don't think anyone else did that.

Going Orion/Artemis. One benefit of hers is that she's a ST SSR Archer in a field devoid of ST SSR Archers. The others are Squirtoria, who is now only available via GSSR, Moriarty, who is generally considered worse than Arty, and that's it. Plus, she's play well with my 2x grailed Chloe. I hope. But the real reason I'm picking her are Interludes. I'm good in terms of class coverage, so I'm thinking outside of the conventional box.

We're getting another fre ssr ticket down the line anyway, so personally I'm picking Tamamo now to have something to work with when Castoria comes out. Sorry Waver, you're gonna have to wait until next time

Forgot one of the crazy buffs on Ozzy's NP: the Cooldown reduction for all skills. Because of his pretty great skills, it guarantees a Challenge quest unit with little downsides.

Isn’t Arjunas second skill strengthening makes him much better now? He can help farm in comps that aren’t running skadi or castoria and he could be helpful in CQs where his NP and another are needed. I don’t think he’s bottom of the barrel anymore. Especially if you’re talking about future things koyanskaya, it’s worth bringing up Arjunas np charge every run for his party on his second skill

Imo, I wouldn't say Jeanne is a top pick simply because in 3 months, castoria comes out and she does Jeannes job, a charge offensive arts support and the only things that are lost is the small heal and the defensive buff but you gain true invulnerability along with a huge attack buff but if anyone sees this, lemme know if I'm capping or not

Tamamo no Mae has avoided me for too long! Gonna drag that fox back to my Chaldea and get her pumped up for some ridiculous arts memes!!! But other than that, Ozzy and Artoria are ones I'd like too...

Imma be real, I've been using jinako as generic support for everything from cq's to farming for ages. Definitely not using her for her class or dmg but i still find her pretty useful This does not mean you should ticket her, waver is still the funniest generic support ever made. I just never got why people disliked her as a unit.

The thing about Vlad is that hes in a similar position to Dantes pre-Skadi right now. He's an investment. With the advent of Castoria and Append skills his real estate spikes dramatically in my opinion (hes not obscenely broken but he can do beeg numbers) and with the advent of his second np upgrade he *finally* gets proper upgraded scaling on his NP along with an Arts resis debuff. That makes Vlad into a comparable NP spammer like Okita or Nero Bride where he can just keep ramping up with each NP making the next even stronger. In addition to that hes a fairly decent survival berserker between charge drain, defence, and a 2 time guts post Apoc upgrade. (He does lose out to Cu alter tho because PFA). With Mad Enhancement EX and a hybrid deck Vlad can even work in pseudo jank setups with meta and budget buster/arts supports. All that said the thing about Vlad is that he is still a sizeable investment. Put in the effort and he will pay dividends. Mine is fully grailed, lored, np3, and almost fully gold fou'd and he does tremendous work. But you have to be willing to make him a core attacker.

between her own NP and the overcharged buff of a Hans, Europa should have no problem surviving enemy NPs, even without her invincible buffs on sounds like a really interesting build-around for story chapters and CQs, far better than 3 turning with Meta supports in any case

I would actually say that Arjuna is the best of the Archers, his buffs on JP are pretty powerful. However... with all the other options in this GSSR, he's not that high tier unless you love him.

So here's my thoughts on the Archers: you have plenty of strong picks in the lower rarity so patching roster holes isn't that hard of a challenge. Class is super dumb strong so the power gap isn't as large.

I'm definitely picking Waiver, but I'm kinda tempted to pick Europa so I can make Greek aoe meme team with her, Achilles, and Odysseus.

I was immediately thinking of getting a Caster here, especially since I've been wanting a combat caster for awhile. Currently my Casters are Nero, Murasaki, and Merlin. So I think Xuanzang would be my best bet?? Not sure where Nero and Murasaki stand in regards to their DPS in general, but they're multi NP instead of single which is currently what I lack.

Jinako is actually pretty solid imo. Yeah, her damage isn’t amazing, but she’s easily one of the best tanks in the game. Friend Jinakos helped me out a lot in many boss fights, even on my less developed JP account. If you like her and want to pull her, she can do work. Even before her buff.

Oh dang, I had Jeanne picked out as my choice to give myself stall utility months ago, but Reddit convinced me to go with Ozymandias out of a mixture of my only gold single target Rider being Sakamoto and Ozymandias' well-timed skill and NP buffs for the new buster meta. For the next ticket, it'll be a tough call between Jeanne, NP 2 Artoria (whom I've already got at 1000 +2000/+2000), and Drake, as my other 5* Rider is Iskandar, who I like but who lacks a battery.

Defaulted to Tam. Already got Waver, Jeanne, Enkidu, Jack and Xuanzang. NP2 AA and NP3 Spishtar so I don't really have any pressing AoE needs. For ST...I got Caesar(NP4 Diarmuid also for some reason), Santera, Cu(Kenshin once DCS?), Xuanzang(maybe Casterdouji once DCS?), Yoshi, Kama, and NP3 Nyalter. Huh. Going off advice, I spent most of my early account resources and rolls on support units. So I'd gotten Waver, Merlin, Skadi already and now Tam via ticket. And in turn I don't really have too many high rarity damage options with a bunch of NP levels behind them, particularly on the ST side...I've been getting by fine, but it does feel kinda weird how much more value investing in supports first has had.

Quite surprised to see Vlad in medium. What with the Arts meta looming over us, I thought he'd be a pretty good pick. Enkidu has received enough buffs that he's borderline busted. The def-down, mana burst and semi-spammable NP can soundly destroy any archer.

I still have no idea who to pick because I'm only missing Napoleon, Europa, and Arjuna, none of which I particularly want, and everyone else I either have at an NP level where another copy doesn't make much of a difference (especially Tam and Jeanne (both somehow NP5)) or have someone else to fill their niche a bit better considering NP levels - the only exception maybe being Vlad

Okki needs arts buff added and cooldown reduc on np, making her a rainbow crit and sustain focused support. Improve her battery a bit and she'd be in ship-shape.

I think imma go with Tamamo because I love arts teams and knowing my luck I'm not getting Castoria.

It's all Tamamo for me. To this day I still don't have her (only just got Waver by accident last year, even), and the only one reliably on my friend list is Six, but he's not always available, so multi-class fights that I can't think of anything better than trying to win neutral with Vlad or BB fall flat. With my own Tamamo, I'll actually be able to do some of those things when Team Skadi just doesn't work well (like most all CQs).

FOr my take. Most I can agree with or abstain save the following: Jeanne - sadly, nope, she's not that good at all. She's soon to be completely overshadowed by castoria, and even in pre-castoria there is little reason to deploy her nowadays. Her best days are long behind her. I'd give her mid at best. Orion (aka Artemis) - yeah, that's too high for her, which is WAY sad. She's useless! That 3 star goddess will serve you tons better. And there is no buffs on the horizon that will change this. She's just bad. Karna - I think he deserves a mid tier slot. I actually use him a lot, especially compared to your other low tier picks, and even many of the mid tier picks, so think he's more valuable than that. Osaka - While not a huge upgrade, I do think she manages a low tier slot. She's actually got all the pieces to be an excellent support... they just aren't quite right. I would upgrade her mostly because she is very handy in rider heavy battles which wreck your caster supports which at this point are the vast majority of the main supports. Until Koya comes along, which is still over a year out, she's reasonable, if not great. I find myself using her a surprising amount.
