So this is a stat test to see which we all think is the best one whilst attacking from range, obviously melee would be different but as 90% of the time you’ll be untouched, I think this is important

The healing situation may just be because of the length of the battles and coincidence however they were only 10 seconds or so longer but twice the healing 🤷🏼♂️

I’m actually not bothered about taking severely wounded units, I’m more concerned about causing more severely wounded units to the enemy in the shortest time possible, however if this effects the healing power of your ranged march then Defence seems the way to go? If the healing wasn’t effected by these stats then I’d just keep attack attributes

Hi my friend ;) Due to my 3 KvKs experience fighting with Margaret / Babur and actually with Margaret / Gonzalo and Gajah Madah / Babur, it depends on how far is your city from the fights. Margaret / Gonzalo have lack of defense / health and Gajah Mada / Babur have 70% passive health but single target.

When unit difference is high SV taken is higher, when few units remain SW taken by both sides is increased. Meaning D/H should give more turns with high unit differential and a low march. Meaning more SW in total but less when considering time.(Proberbly)

The thing with defense and health is that you will lose less troops each counterattack you take, but the enemy as well loses less troops with each attack. They should balance each other out but, when you add healing to the mix, it doesn't care how many troops the enemy has, only how many troops you have yourself. So the healing will be bigger when you have more troops, despite how much damage you dealt to the enemy. Another thing to consider is that all stats have diminishing returns. The more you have of one particular stat the less relevant it becomes, and Crystal tech gives a lot of attack. That's why people always recommend health and favor health runes even over the attack+defense one, because the other two stats are easier to get than health in most equipment and armaments.

To be honest the defence report was just as good as the attack one and I want a good heal to last longer on the field, I just can’t explain how the healing was twice as good with the def and hp stat reports

@@MrSiegeOfficialgot to see the detailed reports, but the way stats work, health and defense are very intertwined and they help each other out in a different way than what attack does. Defense makes you take less damage, therefore adding value to any extra health points you have. So when you have high defense, the heal you take is more valuable, because it will be harder for the enemy to take it back away next turn. And it adds up through the fight everytime a heal pops so in a long fight defense aways triumphs

@@MrSiegeOfficial so I did some testing, I had Richard, and my opponent had Richard both had no secondary and nothing equipped, 20k t5. I first equipped 44 attack. Fight was 27min long. I healed 105k took 18.4k sev and he took 19.4K sev. Next fight I equipped 44 defense, fight was 27min long again, but this time I healed 91.2k and took 16.5k sev to his 19.5k sev.

I think health might be the best. Because it adds the percentage of health of the siege which makes the “all damage” higher since their is more to the troop

I mean if you look at amount of healed troops it's the same but with defense and health heal pops off more often so there are 2 possibilities: 1. it's huge coincidence 2. defense and health somehow makes chances for heal higher.

Watching the tests, looks like the heal just has a probability to occur, but those differences in troop stats don't seem to have a measurable impact on the heal amount of each occurrence. no equipment test: you healed 6 times for 2,816. first heal was weak since you were almost full hp. 1st attack test: you healed 3 times for 1,182. first heal was also weak since u were almost full hp. Looks like it starts healing around 550 when your march is at full stats/capacity, and decreases as your march's remaining stats/capacity decreases. Probably best to focus on equalizing defense & health to minimize damage taken from counter attacks, so that you have a higher troop capacity for each heal. More troops alive and rehealed means more troops contributing their attack, defense, and health to the march for a longer period of time. Better for single target trades or fights far from your city where you want to refresh troops less frequently (Duels, Ruins, Altars, Pass openings). Maybe attack for situations where you can hit multiple targets with Cordoba's AOE - since the extra AOE damage you deal will make up for the extra damage you take from counter attacks. Better for AOE trades or fights near your city where you can reload your damaged march more quickly (Murder balls, Frontline territory fights).

Sorry, but you are completely missing the point here. the reason people generally say "attack is the worst stat, health is the best" is not because of the inherent game mechanics, but because of the diminishing returns you get for each percent point of stats. And once you look at the stat from that perspective - in KvK (which is the situation where commanders are actually relevant), you get a ton of attack bonuses from crystal tech.

Of course they are - you are still taking counterattack damage, and there always is the possibility that your opponent will reach you and get into a melee fight with your unit. I agree that it's not clear how exactly the maths of the fight works - in particular, how the healing amount is influenced by the stats - but the rule of thumb "improve the stat that you have the least of" still holds true if you are looking for better trades. And you will definitely have attack buffs in abundance during KvK. Also, I find it hard to imagine a scenario where your enemy will not get close to your ranged unit, so that the healing will actually have such a large impact in an open field fight. Maybe in KvK altars, if your team manages to keep the enemy close to their gate?

@romanglebov7610 well the reason I think attack stats being higher are better is because you don’t do as much damage as other marches in the same amount of time as your active skill is halved, and in all seriousness if you’re careful enough you won’t get hit at melee. Obviously in a KvK you want to kill as many troops as possible and if you’re always getting positive trades anyway then you’re probably not too fussed if you take a few more severely wounded having lower health stats

@@romanglebov7610while you principles may occur to be right at first glanze, with seige it is not that easy. Attack increase skill dmg, while Defence/health decrease skill dmg taken and there in situations where you take and give your principles hold True. But seige does not have to take skill dmg, therefore attack becomes far more valuable. So the conclusion is not cut and dry with seige(if you can manage not to take skilldmg
