I'm a low spender and I use t4 for fighting and t5 for garrison. My t5 will die, but I get better trades for season coins. I have a farm account dedicated to farming only gold for the times I have to field fighting with t5.

Healing cost in rss are much higher on t5 site 7:12 +/- 14.5k t5 vs 30.5k t4 in sevs = 14.500 * ( 320 + ( 4/3 * 240 ) + ( 3 * 160 ) ) vs 30.500 * ( 120 + ( 4/3 * 90 ) + ( 3 * 8 ) ), so 16.24m vs 7.92m of rss type f/w. Im t4 player and im in very active alliance with spenders, so I have tones of speed ups. In my situation playing with t4 is much better than with t5 specially if I dont have max out eq and pairs. In balls I mostly do 4:1 reps, when you count it in healing costs. In overall t4 is super cheap in rss if you compare it to t5, but t5 is a bit cheaper in speed ups. T4 stay on the field less than t5 and that's the only downside that annoys me about t4.

Thanks for the analysis! However, in KVK there's also Cutting Edge buff which improves T5 vs T4 trades? Was this factored into the analysis?

What about using mixed? Would 50% t4 and 50% t5 be better?

if you are trying to get 30 million crusader kills, you want to get that as quickly as possibl. T5 will do that better.

In beginning you said t5 had 30% more attack. But in fact it had 30 more base attack which is about 15% more attack.

T4 > T5 for efficiency, but during KL or important fights T5 is a must

they should do more to make t4 a bit more on par with t5. There should not be a huge discrepnacy. T5 should be better than t4, sure. But, it should not be a insurmountable difference. That makes for a better rich varied game.

for low spenders, T4 troops but T5 tech. You will never have enough gold for healing T5.

For field context, t4 is objectively better (resource/KP wise). Believe me, I would die on that hill.

I have 12 farms, running t5 is not a problem.

T5 will wreck a t4 player cav with t5 is about as fast as t4 infantry so cav mains have a decent advantage but if you get caught by a few t5 marchs your dead but if a t5 player gets killed it will hurt them alot

An other benefit that t5 has is that they are cheeper on your healing speeds because you take less sevs Wich actually amounts to less speeds unless you get stuck in a murder ball and take a 1-5 trade or something😊!
