In English we have two words that are similar - what for que and which for cual. But we often use what for which, which is kinda crazy!

A mí también…según lo que sepa con los sustantivos en España se usa solamente el “qué”. Pero yo que sé, no soy nativa 🤪

¡Hola! Carla lo explica en el minutos 04:02. "Qué" se utiliza para elegir entre cosas diferentes ("¿Qué compraste?" / "Zapatos") y "cuál/cuáles" para elegir entre diferentes opciones de una misma cosa ("¿Cuáles zapatos compraste?"). 😉

@@EasySpanish ¡Hola! He empezado a ver vuestro canal hoy y me gustan mucho vuestros vídeos. Soy nativa y también enseño español. Disculpad pero, "¿cuáles zapatos compraste?" en España NO es correcto. Lo suyo es: "¿Qué zapatos compraste?" o "¿Cuáles compraste?" (si va sin sustantivo). Por favor, si podéis, corregidlo o aclaradlo, porque causa confusión... ¡Gracias por vuestro trabajo!

If a form of the verb ser comes directly after the question word use cuál, unless you’re asking what something is.

Me gusta este episodio como siempre. He mejorado mi español a través de los videos y sigo mejorando. Una cosa más, si es posible podriaís hacer un video con respecto a "siempre que/siempre y cuando, a no ser que, con tal de que" por favor? No puedo entender la diferencia. Especialmente no entiendo cuando debería usar" con tal de que". Espero poder ver ese video muy pronto. Muchas gracias.

Ambos en casos son correctos "que zapatos" y "cuales zapatos", no debes ser tan gramatico tu analisis. Recuerda escuchar mucho y naturalizar, la gramatica sirve para aclarar pero no para estudiar.

Tengo 2 preguntas sobre la pronunciación española. Espero que alguien me pueda ayudar. 1. Cómo se pronuncia la primera letra de la palabra ‘vamos’. Aprendí que se la pronuncia [b] si no hay otras palabras delante. Pero a veces hay gente que la pronuncia [ß]. Cuál es la pronunciación correcta? [bamos] o [ßamos]? 2. Cómo se pronuncia ‘los cines’ en España? Es muy dificíl pronunciar una palabra que empieza con ‘c’ si la palabra delante termina con ‘s’. Cómo se lo pronuncia? [los] [sines], [loθ] [θines] o [los] [θines]? [los] [θines] es casi imposible de pronunciar.

[bamos] En principio, en el español actual, las letras "b" y "v" se pronuncian igual. Sin embargo, por comodidad, al hablar, la boca se va adaptando a lo que va delante y detrás, con lo cual muchas veces los sonidos no son puros. Realmente es lo normal en todos los idiomas. [los] [θines]. Puede parecer difícil de pronunciar y lo que suele pasar es que la "s" de "los" se escucha poco al pronunciar rápido. :)

Teaching Spanish in Spanish, little tiny English subtitles that the dialog goes to fast to be readable. Struggling here. How do we learn a language in a language we don't know?

That makes sense. I would start with a book on learning Spanish. Understand conjugations, sentence structure, etc. Start with the basics. Watch some children shows to get an easier understanding. Don’t be afraid to stop and repeat what they say. Break the sentence down and understand how it all works. For me, I’ve been learning Spanish for a year, not including what I learned from school 15 years ago or so. I always went on Facebook and joined a “Learn English/Spanish” page and regularly talk to a Peruvian and a Spaniard. They helped me out a lot and correct me if I mess up. Don’t be ashamed if you make a mistake. After a while, it’s easier to watch videos (like this one for example) and listen and read the Spanish subtitles to see what you understand. If I didn’t know a certain word or sentence, I stop the video. I break it down in Spanish and English, replay it a few times so I can comprehend why and how it’s said. I hope this helps you with your Spanish learning journey!

Write down the most common words and expressions, use reverso context and understand the words. Grammar going to distract you at the begining. Watch "auronplay" and identify wich words he use, he has a section where he reacts to weird tv shows, that's funny. Even when you don't get all he says, hear the melodie of his voice, if you naturalized the sound of the language it will be more confortable in learning process. It works for me, hearing pewdiepie or welyn's rust gameplays. Auronplay, Jaime Altozano are channels I watch in youtube. Check them!

Try dreaming in spanish channel and watch all his super beginner videos, you'll be surprised how much you learn without any lessons/english

Bueno, es hora de decirlo. Habría que empezar a ser un poco más riguroso cuando se habla de hispanoamérica. No hablamos todos de forma homogénea un español diferente al de España como para poder hacer la diferencia "España y latinoamérica".

Comparto plenamente ese gusto por el rigor a la hora de tratar estos temas, sin embargo, y sin pretensión alguna de contestar en nombre del equipo de Easy Spanish, imagino que ellos establecen la diferencia de ese modo por razones de practicidad, sobre todo considerando que el público al que va dirigido el canal, al menos en la mayor parte, son los estudiantes de español, y no los estudiosos de la dialectología castellana.
