Good guide.l have the former Tip. I bought from a boot sale, first timer on Whip fishing, with choice compaired with latter, which one is better.

I personally always use the elasticated tip to give me a better chance of landing those better fish. The original elastic in mine was very soft so I swapped it out for something a bit heavier.
