Thanks you. We are going to purchase a new washer this weekend and this video was very helpful. I'm only 5 ft 2in tall, and have been the depth of top load washers has been an issue for me, as well. lol

I have my front loader Whirlpool duet washer on the left and the dryer on the right so when I open the washer I can conveniently put the clothes in the dryer. Works great!!

Very detailed and informative video, thanks:-) I am curious if you still like this washer and dryer? How has the performance held up over the past few years? Would you continue to recommend them? I am a bit apprehensive about these newer, all digital, machines. It seems like there's more potential for malfunctions compared to old school manual (top-load) washers...

Very expensive to repair. I couldn't afford it so I've done my repairs myself. I've had this thing apart 4 times now. Typically, the repair folks want $180 or so just to diagnose, then there's parts and time to repair. I was looking at a third of the price of the washer just to repair it every year. Something this expensive should be built to last. Never again.

I Always leave the door open so that the drum dries out and also clean under the rubber after using the washer to avoid bad smells. Never leave wet laundry inside the drum in order to keep sour smells away. Just some friendly advise from an experienced front loader machine owner.

I had good luck with these older machines. I no longer buy anything whirlpool as my 8mo old washer shakes violently and squeaks so bad. I just posted a video of the "lemon" I bought.

dont mean to be rude or anything but r u really that short or the machines really tall? how tall r they with that storage at the bottom? i wanted to buy this but not sure it will fit in my laundry room cos we have cabinets under our old washer and dryer that went bad... i cant find information on how tall the machine with the storage...

The washer door opens from the wrong side. She has to step around the door every time she does a load of laundry to load it into the dryer. Odd setup.

Easily fixed by swapping the washer and dryer to the opposite sides.

no speedqueen is a washer that will get your clothes clean under 40 mins and last longer 4 to 8 years if that sounds good to you check out speedqueen

catkicked , Yes but don't act like there aren't any drawbacks. Try washing a large comforter, pillows or a blanket in a Speed Queen top loader Also their top loaders are really lacking when it comes to capacity Hopefully their washers don't have that awful 90 degree arc with high speed agitation. Those things ripped your clothes to shreds. ( a la ShredPool or Shredmore)

I have washer a mattrees cover one cover sheet and a one sheet and one basic size blanket off my single twin bed no problems at all could not do that in a lg washer
