For the videoclip of ‘Surface’, the theme of isolation in a cyclical and circling world was used by combining images of a woman singing in bright white light alongside flashing sceneries of destruction, a lost city, stone formations and rough structured landscapes. It’s the result of an instinctive search by photographer Sybren Vanoverberghe and filmmaker Jonas Hollevoet for images in which no humanity can be found.

Gisteravond voor het eerst gehoord op Belpop - er was een tijd dat ik Rock Rally winnaars kende voor ze wonnen. Nu duurt het blijkbaar 5 jaar ... Niettemin: geweldig en nu ik de beelden erbij krijg snap ik ook waar die merkwaardige vocale ervaring vandaan komt.

I sense some influence from Joy Division. This is the first track I have listened to by Whispering Sons, and I like what I'm hearing. The video has a retro feel. Matches the track really nicely. Please to have discovered this.

Fenne Kuppens is such a wonderful person. She is authentic, self-confident, raw, honest and does her thing. Unfortunately, the perception of women in music is highly stereotypical and sexualized. Until those core beliefs don't change strong women like Fenne will continue to face roadblocks in their career..

Ten utwor jest kopią jakiegos zespołu z lat 90.Nie mogę sobie przypomniec jaki to zespoł ale wiem ze wokalista juz nie zyje niestety.Byl to zespoł post-industrialny ale genialny...Z cala swiadomoscią wiem ze to kopia...moze slowa inne ale muzyka wypisz wymaluj.Nawet powazny glos wykonawcy w utworze jest w klimacie tamtego zespolu...Minus z mojej strony

Toch wel een beetje een flauw afkooksel van Stalemate. En de eerste cd leed al hevig aan eentonigheid. Goed klinkende eentonigheid, maar eentonigheid desalniettemin. Ik kan me ook niet van het gevoel ontdoen dan de lagere vrouwenstem meer een gimmick aan het worden is dan een effectieve toegevoegde waarde. En jawel, ik ben wel degelijk fan van de band... Maar dit is lauwtjes
