Things were getting dry in the Whistler Bike Park, but still super fun, I wasn't wearing much armour today because I thought I was gonna ride at a more chill pace...

I did the same thing the beginning of the year but broke my collarbone and completely tore my rotator cuff, the worst part is you are just riding along and bam you are slamming the ground with no warning. Glad you good!

I know those lift clamps from Winterberg in Germany. They work great - and depending on the lift system don't require attendants to unload the bikes

I am allllways scared of those corners as well. Just super dusty, sometimes even filled with these weird pebbles. Im not sure why maintenance is not being done on those since they turn into mud when it rains which exasturbates the problem even more but oh well. Get well soon.

We had snow and the ground froze, Laurentians, Quebec At least the jumps at my local pump track are holding up... Gotta see the positive, in winter I become a trial rider since gravity isn't possible 😂

the bike hanging system that's gonna be on the new lift is pretty much what bike park uses in europe. except here we don't have the closing bit at the top, but it works just fine

Yea, if i wana go nuts i always wear all my gear!!! I hurt my self a few month ago where we just did a little tour with some guys on tracking bikes, so no trails. And i bombed down a staircase because i was bored and i head to brake hard at the end because of some hikers and slipped my front tire on the pavement, and hurt my knee... 😑 When i have all my gear on and fall 3times worse than this, i just have some minor scraches, but no bruises and such! Pads for the win!!!

Like 2 months ago i finally got to go to whistler bike park, it was my dream since i started mountain biking, everything was so freaking awesome on the way up, i was having the time of my life riding downhill on my first lap, until a random bee decided to get into my mouth, stung me and made me crash and roll and fly and almost die 🤣

"HUIYAH!" Even midcrash the boostmaster remains an absolute ninja! Hardly ever see you go down like that man . . . Seeming how you had to be running less then 50psi in your fork for it to feel normal and you fell from washing out your front wheel, maybe your forks shims are stuck at maximum compression damping and needs to be rebuilt. . . And OF COURSE it HAS to happen the one damn day you're not wearing elbow pads and gloves!

Glad you are ok. About a month ago I went no elbow pads and crashed on a wall ride. Shredded elbow and forearm. Ribs took a hit and broke my finger. Apparently I have a habit of hanging my pinky finger off the end of the bars. Won’t be doing that again. 💀💀😂

those sudden impacts always take the wind out.. few minutes of hell just after then normally pretty good soon after with a little hurt on any impact areas

I did the same thing at my local bike park in may,5 broken ribs,broken collarbone and a brain bleed,helmet saved my life,you were lucky,i would have thought at that level of bike park gloves,pads,and armour would be mandatory?

What was the deal with the fork? Just not serviced soon enough, or did something irregular and unexpected happen? Very strongly considering buying a 2024 version. Just interested to know because I’m a tad afraid of switching from coil to air. My coil 888 is reliable (be the damper doesn’t seem to be).

yeah 50 psi is strange. my rockshox boxxers have 110 psi and they still have like 20% sag. im about 75kg

Get well soon, but please tell the audience that it is not smart to not wearing protective gear, simple gloves. Overconfidence will harm anyone one day. That's the truth
