Will, the Krystal’s will be cold by the time you got the White Castle food, so it might not taste as good if it’s cold or sets longer. I love Krystal’s little chicken sandwiches in Pigeon Forge! You definitely need to try those. I’m with Chris I like Krystal’s best.

i grew up on White Castle since i was little in the early 60's, we're up north, but i've never tried Krystal. White Castle does not put mustard or anything but onions and pickle, i love sliders. i always order 2 double cheese, the mustard is up to you to put on, they have never put mustard on.

I was born in Indianapolis, my Dad's job transferred us to Georgia when I was 7 in 1976. Everytime we went up to visit relatives, we stuffed ourselves with White Castles in Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee both on the way there Ann's turn back home. 😂 I will eat Krystals but my heart/tastebuds belong to White Castle burgers! 🥰🥰🥰

I've never had Krystal's so I can't comment but with the White Castle I like the fact they don't put mustard, I like to add my own condiments. One thing I have to say is the the WC onion chips are amazing, way better than any fry.

Thanks for reminding me about the "new" Krystal fries. Sorry, but I won't eat them since they started sort of "battering" them with maybe cornstarch or some other such nonsense. I always order the tater tots, now. Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this, but I'm pretty sure the WC patties have 5 holes punched in them which equals marginally less meat per burger. At Krystal I always ask for no mustard, too. To each his own, though...if you prefer the mustard, go for it. Last but not least, you can find frozen WC burgers at Kroger and probably other groceries, too. If you follow their heating instructions, they reheat pretty well.

I grew up in Ohio and we all loved White Castle !!! I can remember my brothers eating 10 at a time lol. They were always so fresh. They are not big but they were so good. White castle coffee is really good. They used to sell Krispy Cream Doughnuts and we would get those for breakfast with coffee. Fattening but so delicious. 😋 I tried Krystals in Florida, it was similar but not the real thing. Now you know if you want cheese or mustard , just order that way. I have tried both, but I grew up and still live near Cincy, so it's gotta be White Castle for me. I get the cheeseburgers, no onion or light onion with their Dusseldorf mustard and onion chips. 😋

Regarding White Castle, you have to tell them EVERYTHING on their burgers, it a ketchup and mustard mix, FRIKEN AWESOME. Been ordering them that way for years. My favorite is 3 double cheese burgers with EVERYTHING on it and a sack of their onion rings.👍👍👍👍👍

The microwave frozen white castle burgers can be amazing if you do what I do. Dice up a bunch of onions put it in a frying pan then put the white castle patty on top and don't flip let the onions steam the patty and then for the bun microwave it till it's nice and soft and boom instant fresh white castle at home or you can take ground beef mash it into a rectangular shape on a baking sheet then cut into small slider sized squares freeze. Then cook in frying pan on medium low heat on top of a nice thick layer of freshly finely diced up onions and then let it cook and steam and never flip or let touch the frying pan or grill top. Scoop the onions and patty and serve on a Hawaiian slider rolls and boom fresh white castle at home. I worked at a white castle when i was in highschool and they still make the burgers same way they made them when they first opened. At white castle they take the patty cook ontop a layer of dehydrated onions that was rehydrated in water before cooking and it steam ontop of the onion and they just scoop all the the onions and burger patty right up off the grill top onto the bun. No mustard and condiments should be on a white castle burger ubless you ask

When I was a kid, and my dad would get "backed up", he would go to Krystal, and within an hour, he was just fine! 😂😂😂

I grew up in the Cincinnati area and now live in Florida but all the White Castles I was ever in before were always clean no matter what their age but I can't say the same for Crystal. Crystal does include mustard on their burgers but WC never has unless you ask. I prefer without mustard and order them that way at Crystal. Keep up the good work showing us more restaurants.

Been mad at Krystal ever since they moved their headquarters from Chattanooga to Atlanta about 10 years ago. Krystal is good but every time after I end up in the bathroom for an extended period!

Thanks so much for this review I've always wondered what the difference was between Krystal and White Castle. I have access to Krystal on a daily basis but our new White Castle is far for me to drive and the one day I did the car line outside was a mile long so I left.

The only difference I can tell in Crystal and White Castle is White Castle Cooks the onions more they have more options you can have on your burger crystal is just mustard and cheese not saying it's not good but I prefer White Castle over Crystal

What a great idea. I thought a fair, unbiased review. Murfreesboro and Nashville also have both. I'm from Chattanooga, home of Krystal (although they moved HQ to Atlanta a few years ago). But I enjoy White Castle. I remember you have to request mustard at WC, and it's brown. I think they are cooked differently too. Krystal steams the burgers which makes for warm bun. I don't think WC steams. If you get both hot, I would take Krystal burger over WC but WC fries over Krystal. I love crinkle fries. No question WC has nicer buildings. Great job, guys!

No comparison White Castle all the way

I ate at a Krystal a few months ago for the first time in 20 years. The fries which I remembered as being good were inedible. Salt overload poison seasoning, apparently what the public desires.

Growing up in Bristol, we had the Blue Circle, circle-burgers, basically the same as Krystal/White Castle, small round hamburger with onion, pickle and mustard. ran through a steam machine to make the bun all wrinkly. One of the Blue Circles is still open, but I haven't tried the circle-burgers in a lot of years.

Many years ago, the White Castle I frequented, had catsup, mustard, and a combination of both. You got the combo if you didn't request one or the other.

I grew up with White Castle in Michigan and loved them. Moved to Florida in the 80's and they had Krystal's. My favorite thing on a burger is mustard, pickle and onion. Krystal's has it. I like the bun on a White Castle more. It's softer, and the rest of it...the Krystal burger hands down.

I forgot to tell you the White Casrlt near me also has very large drinks. I ask for a small because it's more like a medium.

I'm from Tennessee so I grew up on Krystal but White Castle is way better. I've actually drove to London, KY just to get White Castles. That spicy mustard is the best so without that, you can't judge the burger. You have to put it on yourself which I like because Krystal never puts enough on.

White Castle doesn't do mustard. I grew up in the Chicagoland area with it, they don't put it on there. Now I live in Florida and have Krystal. I like Krystal, but I think White Castle is way better. Just my opinion. They opened one in Orlando, I can't wait to head over there. They're both great in their own way. I like both.

I dont know how to say it but say it, the burgers in the 50 s 60 s & 70 s were the best, growing up u could smell the hamburges from the outside and smell of cooking hamburger was so delicious smelling. I can still remember pulling up to even McDonads or any place even Wiolworths food counter. Its just not the same to me anymore. But i would love to try these looks good 😉

I lived in Georgia for nine years, Krystal's and Rally's are both addictive... I miss them. Krystal's has some great breakfast items, too. I wish they'd expand into the central states.

I prefer White Castle burgers by a little bit, and those jalapeno cheeseburgers are sooooo good. Everything else though, especially the chicken sandwiches, goes to Krystal for me. We have one of each pretty close to us and have gotten both in the same day a few times haha.

I hate onions so never tried white castle, Donny tried it once, I don't think he liked it, because the burger was too small for him, I did not know Krystal was basically the same, good review, now I know that it's not our type of burgers, and that's helpful information, thanks

I grew up with White Castle close by in my neighborhood in Chicago. Never heard of Krystal. I now live in Arizona and we have White Castle out here, too. It's true, sometimes I do crave them! Their logo used to be "Buy them by the sack."

Been eating at White Castle and Krystal for many years, since the 1990's. White Castle burgers do not have mustard. WC burgers have five holes for the steam to go through the burger to the bun when they are being cooked People are friendlier at WC and the restaurants are operated better. Both have free refills on drinks. I sometimes went through Nashville on I-40 and ate at an intersection with a WC and Krystal at the same intersection. It was two blocks from I-40. The onions at WC are cooked more thoroughly. The Krystal buns are puffier. The WC buns are floppier. My preference has always been for the taste at WC.

Im from Ohio living in Tennessee now. I think Nashville is the only city in this state that has White Castle, not too sure. They don't come with mustard, so when I order Krystals, I ask for no mustard to get that taste of the sliders I'm used to. Every now and then I'll have them with mustard but growing up without it is what we're used to.

Im from Indiana so I grew up eating White Castles. Now y'all got me wantin some. I like the double cheeseburgers and fries and occasionally the chicken sandwich or chicken rings. No mustard on the White Castle ever. However, the mustard that they offer is soooooo good.

They're both good when you have a craving, but I prefer White Castle if I had to choose and while I like mustard on hotdogs, it's slightly overpowering on the little burgers.
