There are minor plot holes but hands down, the show is fantastic. I mean the scenes and places shot all around New York alone were magnificent! I was heartbroken to see it go, but they had a really rocky start. I don't think USA gave them enough attention and care, I mean for the love of god, the show changed times almost every other month! Hell, USA even displayed the wrong dates, as to when a season would return etc. I don't think they really thought the show would succeed and therefore neglected it. When in reality, it could've been one of there best shows they had ever had! 'Suites' totally copied there look. Not to mention it being a original series! Super underrated, really sad to see such a great thing go to waste!

Owen Pace Yes, the idiotic network wanted the show to be "darker" as if their aren't even dark procedurals already Law and order and it's spin offs, CSI ditto spin offs, NCIS ditto, White Collar was different, serious yet lightheaded, great cast, so nice to see Diahanne Carroll, later Billy Dee Williams, and the writers didn't want to give that vision up. Glad to have read that the two pilots they bought afterwards tanked after two seasons. DUMB network. They deserve their failure. 😈
@itsthekid9815
@itsthekid9815 6 жыл бұрын
The big problem for it as said above was the bigger shows. I personally thought it was scripted better than csi and law and order. All of the newer shows have a big problem with trying to stand up to the big two. Ncis and criminal minds changed the game. People stopped being so committed to the crimes and more to the characters. Gibbs and abby from ncis has hard carried ncis to be a cult following. And the same with reid from CM. The lesser shows that have been smaller but end up being loved like monk and white collar and Sherlock while yes the crimes they solve is the big thing in the show we love the characters and are able to connect with them. They always try pulling the going crazy because the things they've seen but it's hard to connect with that. Making characters deal with demons in life like reid from minds to the father figure in Gibbs all the way to the person that is innocent but wants to catch the bad people in abby is something that a lot of people can connect with. White collar had us connect with the whole judgement of a person but that person can change. That's why it connects with so many people. The networks don't realize we don't want the old stuff rehashed and made to look the same. The ncis spin offs were awful because it wasn't Gibbs it was some characters that work in the same line of work he does.

Nah, I mean I wouldn't mind a movie(which might happen at some point) but I'm glad they ended on a high note. Too many shows goes on for too long(most recently blacklist) and they become just ridiculous and the drop in quality is awful. But I feel like White Collar just like Person of Interest ended at the right time a with a great final episode. We might feel hungry for more but I think it's better to be left with this feeling rather than see your show slowly getting worse and worse.
@mohammedfaiisal
@mohammedfaiisal 3 жыл бұрын
@@happzy it kind of did lose the quality towards the end. I wasn't a big fan of season 5 and 6. Four wasn't that great either. 1-3 were the best high quality season and then after that it felt rushed to finish it off. I think they should have done 7 or 8 full 16 episode seasons and not slowly do less and less episodes each season like this one. Season 6 was only 6 episodes. That could definitely have gone on for a little longer. They could have done a few cases in between
@happzy
@happzy 3 жыл бұрын
@@mohammedfaiisal I'm not sure if that was a choice, usually producers get order for particular number of episodes from the network. My guess is they've played the cards they had. And as for quality, I partially agree although while season 4 was kinda meh, season 5 I liked a lot. Different strokes I guess.

I'm currently watching the series and I agree, Peter's too hard on Neal sometimes. But by the same token, Neal makes it very difficult for Peter to trust him. A prime example is in Season 3, when Neal keeps lying to Peter about not having the stolen treasure that was on the U-boat. Even Elizabeth, who generally tries to see the good in Neal, once told Neal something like, "He (meaning Peter) wants to trust you, but you make it very hard."

Seasons never had enough episodes. I only wish it had at least 25-30 episodes for 10 seasons instead of 15ish for 6 seasons with that short season 6. It could have gone on for longer and the tenth season would have been wrapped up a few months ago. White collar should have ran a lot longer than it did and I wish it somehow comes back like they do with some shows which have very long breaks and starts up with another season years later. I hope white collar does that. It's never too late

Neil liquidating assets wasn't a plot hole. He had multiple names so he could buy shops and other things with Moz as his go to man. There was minor plot holes but nothing too extravagant. Only upsetting thing was the ending. He didn't need to go through with his exit strategy. Also, I wish Neil went to London to go find Sarah instead of heading to Paris.

Not a plot hole so much as a whoopsie. When They end up at Rebecca’s apartment and find out she’s a criminal, there’s a trip wire thingie at the front door inside the apartment. But the problem is that the door opens into the apartment, so that trip wire would have gone off as soon as they opened the door. Stepping over it wouldn’t have done jack shit.

To the point of the lady's question about plot holes, White Collar was the MOST unlikely of all the shows from USA's Blue Sky era of programming. No way an FBI field agent careerist is this chummy with Neil Caffery. And the coincidences / timing / mission-impossibles were part of the fun, but it was an over-the-top universe. How did Neal charm all those women wearing a mask and social distancing during COVID? Plot holes is putting it politely. Should have been given a full final season nonetheless. One of the best shows ever created / produced. BEST show in the whole Blue Sky era.
