Ingredients:
- Idli Batter-2 Bowl
- Curd- 1 Bowl
- Rai- 1 Tsp
- Til- 1 Tsp
- Green Chilli-2 Nos
- Ginger-1 Inch long
- Curry Leaves-12 to 15
- Coriander Leaves
- Eno (Blue)- 1 Tsp
- Salt- 1 Tsp
- Oil-3 to 4 Tbsp
- Jeera Powder-1/4 Tsp
- Red Chilli Powder-1/4 Tsp
Recipe:
- Peel off 1 inch long ginger and remove seeds of one green chilli. Crush and make Ginger-Green
Chilli paste. Also make long slices of one Green Chilli.
- Add 2 Bowls of Idli batter and 1 bowl curd in a big bowl. Add 2 Tsp oil in the mix and 1 Tsp salt and
1 Tsp Ginger-Garlic paste and 1 Tsp Eno (Blue Pouch) and mix well all the ingredients.
- Boil water in Idli maker. Apply oil on the Dhokla making tray / pan. Pour Dhokla batter in the tray /
pan and place it in Idli maker to steam. Cook in the steamer for 10 to 12 minutes. After 10 to 12
minutes remove the lid of steamer and insert a knife in Dhokla to check whether it is cooked or not?
Batter should not stick on knife. If required cook for another 2-3 minutes. Allow the steamer to cool
down.
- In a wok take 1&1/2 to 2 Tbsp oil and heat. Add Rai-1 Tsp and Til-1 Tsp. Add 1 pinch of Heeng. Now
add 12 to 15 Curry leaves and long slices of Green Chilli. Fry them for 3-4 minutes.
- Take out the Dhokla tray / pan and apply 1 Tsp oil and spread on Dhokla surface with fingers. Now
sprinkle 1/4 Tsp Jeera powder and 1/4 Tsp Red Chilli Powder on the Dhokla Surface.
- Now spread fried mix on the Dhokla surface.
- Cut White Dhokla in square blocks. Garnish it with Coriander leaves.
- Enjoy in breakfast, lunch or dinner!
