i'm white and I actually do this too but with a silver eyeliner! i personally feel like a shimmery waterline looks way more flattering than a matte white one, it gives you that big glossy eyes effect

That beauty hack has been around forever though? I remember watching cosplayer makeup vids in the early 2010s and everyone did that 😂. Will say that just recently saw people doing it with colour liners, the blue looked soooo pretty on you in that other short about enhancing your natural eye colours 🥺. Honestly, even being white myself (watch your channel because I’m obsessed with your colour theory skills and have a lot of fem friends with deeper skin tones who are still learning about make up), I prefer that shade on myself. It looks so much more flattering. For my paler skin I just lean towards slightly lighter champagne colour, but the idea is the exactly the same.

I’m medium light and I hated the white liner hack until I saw your video!! 😊 my mom and I use neutral shimmery liners in taupe and champagne and gold all the time now.

You can still do white, just add a brown or black shadow slightly smoked below it to create a contrast and mascara on the bottom lashes. I love how this looks 😍

I do this with a gold/champagne shimmery eyeshadow! Since I don’t have a gold eye pencil, it works just the same and looks great on my brown skin 💗

I buy a cheap 1 dollar white pencil. Its sheer. But does give me that doll affect without being so bright. Love it.

I have pale to light skin during the winter and medium skin if I go out in the sun during the summer and I still find white to be overpowering. Champagne is my go to cuz it works all year round!

i have a very similar if not darker skin tone as you and you're supposed to blend the white a bit so its not as bold. Hope that helps! :)

also... it looks better if there is a bit of white showing under your iris... if your bottom lid cover a lot of the iris, it might not look right...

would not recommend doing this for any skin color!! it looks super duper cute but waterlines actually contain oil glands that can get clogged by the make up you use. and since it is a very delicate area, it is harder to efficiently clean that other parts of your face from my understanding. ive tried it and it is cute and nothing out of the ordinary happened afterwards, but not sure if the potential risks and the discomfort are worth it..

I have a tan skin so I do all of that with a champagne colour since it is a light tone of brown.

I am light medium and I got a nude eyeliner cuz I also don’t like pure white. However, this shimmery eyeliner reflects beautifully and still looks natural.
