I've been putting off taking the running boards off mine, because I have small kids, and they use them to get into and out of the truck. Now seeing yours, I may replace mine with something like yours. Thank you so much for all the great videos!

I just ordered the same sliders with a back diamond plate for the kids. Will be easier for them to climb in and less likely their foot will get stuck.

I thought about it, not sure. Welding would be stronger but if I wanted to change it up later... 🤷🏻‍♂️

You might sell the truck to someone that does not want sliders.. and bolts can be easier than welding. I would do it the same way you did.

Wow your under truck video looks fantastic.. good light helps a lot. You do great work capturing video The fit of the slider to the truck seems excellent. You moving the brake line was a smart move. And kerping the hardware loose until in place was smart. Did you consider using nylocks instead of the split locknuts. Nylocks are better in my opinion. Did you use some anti seize on the bolts for future projects ? What is the rough street price ?

Mine are welded on and I've got a couple things for you to consider. There are a few nooks and crannies in the welds that need some paint/touch up. With them welded to the truck, it's impossible to get that corrected. The way mine were welded on, they covered a bolt hole for one of the underbody trays. Not a big deal unless you want an aftermarket skid plate that uses that hole. Mine can always be cut off and re-welded, but it's just more of a pain.
