White Noise
What is white noise?
White noise is a type of noise that is produced by combining sounds of all different frequencies together. If you took all of the imaginable tones that a human can hear and combined them together, you would have white noise.
The adjective "white" is used to describe this type of noise because of the way white light works. White light is light that is made up of all of the different colors (frequencies) of light combined together (a prism or a rainbow separates white light back into its component colors). In the same way, white noise is a combination of all of the different frequencies of sound. You can think of white noise as 20,000 tones all playing at the same time.
Because white noise contains all frequencies, it is frequently used to mask other sounds.
Natural sound is one of the type of white noise. Natural sound includes sound from natural phenomena, such as sound of water and wind. The sound of water is the sound of rain falling on the ground or water, the sound of a waterfall, the sound of flowing water, the sound of waves crashing against rocks, and so on. The sound of wind blows the leaves, the whistling sound, and so on. In nature, it is often heard that water sounds and wind sounds are mixed together. Other natural non-artificial sounds include thunder, ice cracks, or ice collapse, forest fires, and so on. These voices have greatly helped the development of prehistoric music and have an important cultural reference value for today.
Natural sound (such as rain and waves) can mediate a person’s nervous pressure, relax their mood, improve their sleep quality, and relieve tinnitus. It is said that people are more likely to fall asleep while listening to the sound of rain on a rainy day. However, it is not rainy every day to accompany you to sleep. Therefore, you can play the video of this raining sound so that you can fall asleep better without having to worry about insomia.
