I saw the Tubes play this live in Los Angeles not long after it was released. I have seen TONS of bands over the years, but that show was one of the most memorable for me. It was epic.

My favorite uncle Scott (who was also my dear friend) passed away in 2016 - afterward I struck up a friendship with his best friend from college. For 7 years until Dana's passing we used to tell each other stories we called "Scottism's" and one of my favorites Dana told was a story about a Tubes concert they went to when they were younger. Scott got up on stage and danced with Quay Lewd to this song. That sounds exactly like something Scott would do. 😂 Listening to White Punks On Dope now remembering two of my dearest friends who I miss terribly. ❤❤

THIS IS THE ORIGINAL RECORDING !!! If you listen closely to it, you will realize there is SO MUCH Going On Here ,,,, from Rick Anderson pounding on that Base, to Prairie Prince on Drums, Mingo Lewis on percussions, Rodger on lead, Bill on rhythm guitar, Michael, and Vince, with Re and the Back up Girls,,,, SO MUCH Is going on !!! SO Much Talent !!! I bought the album when it came out, and it IS STILL Relevant Today !!! I Will Forever Love The Tubes !!!
