As a sox fan who has seen there team struggle and lose horribly time and time again to the Cubs. It feels great that they swept the Cubs. I know that the Sox have been known for choking other than 05 team which is sadly overlooked and forgotten to easily. But the Cubs aren’t that better other than the 16 team they choked every time they had a chance to win something same as the sox. @Tony Petrini ya the Sox have used half of their triple A team this year. Luckily the twins didn’t show up to play this year which gives the Sox the 2nd worst division in baseball in my opinion. I’m hoping that doesn’t come back to haunt them in the playoffs if they make it, which it might but who knows

It could also be that they run up against good teams that have pitcher with good sliders. sliders seem to be the offensive weakness for the sox but at least they can beat the teams they're supposed too. This weekend against the yanks will be a great test. Keep in mind the sox didn't face pitchers like Gerrit Cole after the substance ban.

There was a string of two consecutive pitches that were thrown at the exact same spot at the same speed with the same movement one was called a ball and the other was called a strike. It was like Leslie Nielsen was the umpire.

You’re almost born into it. As a white Sox fan…it’s not as intense as red sox Yankees…or even dodgers giants but it is a good friendly (sometimes besides wen AJ plowed thru barret and then punches were thrown) but it’s fun…and idc about ohtani he ll regress…Harper now…he’s pretty good

It’s fun when it happens and most fans choose a side. Highkey you’re in the minority of fans that prefer to root for both teams.

Usually how it works for the lukewarm fans is that one's Cub friends make fun of the Sox to the point you either join in the chant or protect the Sox. At this point one has made their decision.

It’s a fun rivalry, part of what makes Chicago baseball always fun. Both teams have been in the city for over a century, and most people’s families teach them who to root for as a kid. People who say “I’m a Chicago fan” just don’t get it, the fact that we have two teams yet you only love one makes it special.

Is it a coincidence this is their first good (full) season in a decade and also the first time in a decade their attendance doesn't rank in the 20s? Currently it's 13th. Can you say fairweather/bandwagon? Those are the kinda fans I respect the least. The ones who'll only show up the rare time the team is good. Plenty of other fanbases show up every year no matter their teams record.
