Once it passes this solid rock it reaches the mantle and then the outer core. The Mantle is filled with magma which is a semi-solid molten rock. Semi-Solid enough to allow Vibrations to pass through it easily with the inner core even thinner than that. Once that Vibrational wave hits the core and begins to bounce off, those waves will begin bouncing around the same way a loudspeaker echos in a sealed off room. That vibration would cause a cascade of waves through the liquid and semi solid layers sending these vibrations to bounce back up to the crust level. Researchers estimate that an earthquake bigger than 11 on the richter scale has a major potential to wipe out life on earth, which will likely never happen. But you never know. I just hope I am not alive to find out.

Hell Jozu tossed a massive block of ice into the direction of the base and if it wasn't for of Akainu, Ace who was still in sea prism chains would have been crushed.There was also that one time Whitebeard punches a shockwave through that giant in the direction of the scaffold where Ace was in order to destroy it. It was blocked by the three admirals but what exactly would Whitebeard do if it hit and Ace didn't survive?

You know what's crazy whitebeard was so strong even at his old age attached to God damn medical equipments was known as the strongest man alive. The dude basically destroyed Akainu when he had like 50 holes in his chest and a fist of magma melting him from the inside. He created tsunamis bigger then marineford took like 200 sword stabs and like 100 gunshot and 50 cannonballs to stop this guy EVEN THEN HE TOOK OUT BLACKBEARD AND DID A HUGE SHOCKWAVE WHILE DYING. Not to mention he was possibly holding back due to his allies... And remember he did this when he was like 74 years old or something. Awesome video, side note, as someone with a lot of family in Chile, those earthquakes are terrifying, mostly because all of the country of Chile is coastline or mountain. The country of Chile loses landmass with every earthquake and the worst part about them is the tsunamis if it at all is powerful and strikes off-land.

Since earthquakes are waves, using multiple of those at once might actually cause them to cancel each other out or otherwise disrupt each other. That, and it does seem like you need some windup to use them, either in forming the bubble or making a big swing motion. So no rapid-fire guraguragura :(

I'm pretty sure whitebeard did that opening because he knew Aokiji would of froze it. it was either freeze the giant waves and give the pirates a place to stand (a lot of devil fruit users and what not) or everyone gets wiped out. It was a calculated risk. that's the way I see it.
