I just love the upcycling. I'm always looking at thrift stores, auctions & the Restores for handles not only for my furniture upcycles but for the ottoman trays I make. It's amazing what painting & changing hardware can do for a piece. ❤

Everything you redo is just beautiful. The terrarium is so unique. I’m like you…love stools.! Love the green paint. I actually think the green would look good for fall and winter too. It’s a different Christmas green, but you could make it fit in with holiday decorations..

I’m absolutely speechless. This is by far the best trash to treasure I’ve ever seen. The way you transformed these to absolutely fit perfectly into your own home decor was amazing. I wish that my thrift stores carried these type of items. Every so often I’ll come across an item but it’s way overpriced for a thrift store so I will have to walk away the prices on the items you got were amazing great work.

Mary, I would like to suggest you make yourself a “paint room” with large cardboard boxes. Anything large enough for your pieces, so you can spray paint when weather/temperatures are not favorable. I even do this when I’m outside in summer. It seems to help with insects not flying into my project. I always have this problem when I paint outside. Spring is almost here!❤

8:26 this piece is missing a board on the top (on the back edge) that would be really easy to replace. I'd have it overlap the same amount as on front (since you're using it for a coffee table). After the repair, I'd place the drawer opening on the couch side, so you could keep a throw blanket, the remotes for the TV and maybe your evening sewing project handy. ... You might even find a pretty rub on decal to pretty up the "back". 💖🌞🌵😷

Mary I had some ornate woodwork to paint around and knew taping would not work so I brushed Vaseline all around the edge, painted the walls and when the paint was dry just wiped off the Vaseline. Worked like a charm. I just did the same thing on my shower when I painted the bathroom.
