I'm always conscious of the fact of how stupid it is to watch a show through your phone screen when the action is live and in person just the other side of that screen but..I'll be damned if I'm not gonna at least get some of it , usually I'll pick one song and snap a pic or two....I mean I've bought countless Hendrix or Stevie Ray Vaughn performances on DVD, before youtube... our phones hold memories like photo albums use to. I fucking WISH I had some p.o.v footage of all the Pantera or Ozzy shows we went to or how bout Layne Staley in a wheelchair on the DIRT tour. No way I could be mad at somebody for recording that shit. But yeah put your fucking phone down people. You can watch somebody else's footage later online and in the meantime you're not 'that guy'

I'm a huge classic rock fan, Queen, AC/DC, Beatles, Stones, to name a few, but I was also brought up on classic outlaw country like Willie, Waylon, Merle, Johnny, and Kris, to name a few.I saw Willie in September 2018, and he was fantastic !Also on the bill with him was Tedeschi Trucks Band, Sturgill Simpson, and Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real.What an amazing show !!! Each act was great, and they played better than the act before them !!!I'm so glad that Tyler Childers, Whiskey Myers, The Steel Woods, Colter Wall, Cody Jinks, and a few others, are keeping the classic roots of country alive !!!!
@shannonhennings21125 жыл бұрын
I think it's great how humble Sturgil is being and not trying to come up front and show off or take a little of the spotlight he's really keeping this Tylers moment. Obviously people see him and know but when he starts jamming he's doing his thing but in a very respectful way. 99% if all others would walk up front and ask for the attention, not here.
@hughjass2175 жыл бұрын
Booger Balls Come on man, saying that Sturgill is trying to be anything like Waylon is just crazy, the dude is so true to his own style and is absolutely so original I’ve never understood the whole “he’s trying to be Waylon” argument. Such a unique sound and is absolutely doing what he wants. The only thing I could think of him and Waylon having in common is their “I’m gonna do what I wanna do and how I wanna do it attitude”

Colter Wall and The Dead South too! A bit partial to Luke Combs as well; that man is a true poet and has a great voice. Only Aaron Lewis and Cody Johnson I can say the same for.
