ICE AGE has the BEST foreshadowing in any animated movie, in the 1st movie there's a reference to ALL of the ice age movies, in the ice cage scene there's the events of every ice age movie in order, Sid sees 1st a frozen Piranha, and in the 2nd movie piranha's appeared and other sea creatures, then he sees a frozsn dinossaur really similar to mother dino from the 3rd movie, then he sees some frozen sloths or the evolution of sloth, 4th movie his family appeared, and last but not least he sees A FROZEJ UFO THE SAME UFO SCRAT GETS HIMSELF IN IT, idk if this was a huge coincidence or not, there's no way was a coincidence all the event in order, and the exact same ufo, also in every movie the own characters references to the event of the next movie, 1st movie Sid says he wants a "global warming", I don't need to say what happens in the 2nd movie right? In the 2nd movie Many says there's no dinosaurs, they were extincted, and the 3rd movie dinos appeared and in the 3rd movie Ellie asks Many how he is going to deal with their kid when he/she become a teenager, 4th movie Peaches is already a teenager, and in the 4th movie Diego says to Sid "You're family got destroyed by an asteroid", 5th movie: asteroid, Probably if "Blue Sky" made a 6th movie, Diego and Shira would have kids, since they talked about having kids, btw, talking about the animation in the 5th movie, it's STUNNING, so bright, sharp, realistic, amazing sound effects, if u compare to the first Ice age movie u can see how much the animation changed, it got so much better, now the movie "Ice age Adventures of Buck" is a total waste of time, the animation is worse than the 1st movie's one, looks like ps2 cutscenes, buck in Ice age 3 can take down a huge white dino, buck in Ice age 5 can take down 3 dinobirds.while singing Figaro, while in Ice age 6 he loses in 1x1 against a small big headed dino, Disney ruined ice age

The saddest thing ever but also a perfect ending- When Blue Sky Studios announced that they were closing, they released a small clip of Scrat FINALLY getting and enjoyed his acorn. Made me tear up genuinely.

I feel like Shira deserved more screen time. There were some scenes when they completely forgot to animate her. She also had like 12 overall lines this entire movie. They could have done so much with her character and they kinda just threw it all away. If they do for some reason make another movie, Shira should be able to do a more than be filler character and act like an NPC 90% of the time

If you remember from Ice age one, when they are walking through the ice cave “short cut”, there was an alien ship and the baby gave the “live long and prosper” sign. So, when I saw this opening it was like a call back to the first movie.

This is sadly, the final chapter in the Ice Age film franchise, as it was hinted that they might do one more movie, which was going to involve Manny and his friends thawing out in the 21st Century, which would have been surprising and adventurous.

What hated the most about the 5th movie is that manny lost his entire character development from the 4th movie, he learned to trust his daughter more and realize that she is old enough to decide things. And yet the 5th movie just threw it out the window by making him overprotective again and also trying to forbid to marry her fiancé 😒

The fifth movie overall barely has any continuity. Shira is an NPC. If I remember correctly Louis COMPLETELY DISAPPEARS. And as you said, Manny's character. The best part of the movie for me is the scrat sequence at the beginning.

I'll admit this is the the worst of the franchise, but it had it's moments. Buck's version of "Largo AL Factotum" is great, as is Buck in general. And it is satisfying to see Sid finally find love. Overall, still infinity better than Disney's attempted follow up.

I love the 5th movie coz the animation is stunning and I used to love space stuffs back in the day, but still a decent movie, and yeah ICE Adventures of Buck" is a total waste of time, the animation is worse than the 1st movie's one, looks like ps2 cutscenes, buck in Ice age 3 can take down a huge white dino, buck in Ice age 5 can take down 3 dinobirds while sings Figaro, while in Ice age 6 he loses in 1x1 against a small big headed dino, Disney ruined ice age

I agree on the subject of Sid. It’s about time he got a satisfying resolution this time. After being abandoned by his birth family, with the exception of his Granny, and going through many hardships, Sid deserved to have someone special in his life.

I cannot say that Collision Course was one of my favorites in the Ice Age franchise. Like others are saying in the comments, it is decent. But at least this one is far better than the atrocity that followed long after it, which we don’t talk about.

I'm not gonna lie, despite the flaws it has, I really liked this one, in fact, when I used to be scared about possible disastrous events, like asteroids, I would watch this as a comfort movie. "They changed their fate, and we can change ours too." is also one of those qoutes that really improved my optimism.

Oh sweetie, it's not that the creators of the first film didn't foresee those scenes, nor animated it for that purpose. If anything, Ice Age is a stand-alone film. And Blue Sky just later on decided to make more. The references were just paying homage to the first movie, not foreshadowing. They made the first film paying no mind for what sequels will be. But I'm glad your enthusiastic with the franchise, and enjoy what some moments we can't.

@@meganlodon Unless a franchise is planned ahead by the director/s and screenwriters, you can't really call bits from the first film as foreshadowing given that it's pretty much a standard stand-alone film. More like the sequels, especially the 4th-5th films, purposely took snippets FROM it. Otherwise it's called milking a franchise with nostalgia-bait. Nostalgia coming from the first movie, and adding it to future movies as if saying "Oh look! We added a reference in this scene from the first film, isn't that nice? Doesn't it make you want to watch _our_ rendition?". The next two sequels were a nice touch to add to, and end, the characters' stories. The last two films were okay, just okay. Still watchable, in a way. To add to that, Ice Age had Chris Wedge as it's main director along with Carlos Saldhana. Carlos stayed until the third installment, but the 4th and 5th film had a different crew working on it. 🎈Main takeaway or TL/DR: The first film was made with no intention of serving as foreshadowing for future installments.

It can be said that the world is moving backwards in these movies lol Everything then started with a the creation of the universe (5), then the continents shifted (4), then came the dinosaurs (3), the then the meltdown (2) and we finally get humans (1). Also, can anyone who actually watched the 'spinoff' movie tell me if anyone got a girlfriend or whatever in it? Each sequel had a major character get in a relationship, so just thought I'd ask. 2 gave us Manny/Ellie. 3 attempted Scrat/Scratte. 4 gave us Diego/Shira. 5 gave us Sid/Brooke and Peaches/Julian. So did the possums get their turn? hehe

This movie just went wayyyy too crazy into the whole magic part. It was also just too cartonish at some points, the magnetic and electric stuff was also not portrayed the best. I feel like this started with the 4th movie and the "sirens" but in this one it's just everywhere. Scrat flying around in a space ship, Geotopia where animals just surf on boards because of a magnetic field and are also kept young by it is just too much... It also didn't have a good villan. There was little to none character development. And some of the stuff they did felt super out of character. Idk it was just a mess of a movie. I also love how all the movies after the 1st one forgot that humans are a thing xD

Disney bought this franchise and unfortunately Blue sky studios closed a few years ago and as a final wish the made a lawsuit against Disney to keep scrat the studios signature character out of the franchise. Fortunately they won and as a goodbye for him they did a short video of him finally eating the acorn.

Gotta love how in every Ice Age movie, Scrat causes a continually larger series of events. Ice Age 1: Causing an ice shelf to collapse, chase after him and almost squish him to death. Ice Age 2: Cracks open a giant tub filled with water, causing him to die and go to heaven only to be banished back down because Sid brought him back to life. Ice Age 3: Discovers the land down under, finds love, only to realize his only true love was the acorn. Ice Age 4: Causes the continents of the planet to start shifting. Ice Age 5: Rearranges the planets, almost wipes out all life on Earth and causes the mass extinction of Mars. He apparently also went on a journey trough time in some mini-series I believe...

Like I was hinting at in the comment section of the previous Ice Age movie reaction, I don't really like this one the way I liked all the other ones. But there's that one saving grace: Buck. I frickin love that crazy guy. And the animation is just gorgeous. Although I do really wish that Diego and Shira both got to do something, it feels like they both kind of just.. were there. Sucks for Shira especially because she was only introduced in the previous movie.

As a movie the 5th one was a disappointment. But the VISUALS and the comedy was fun. I also remembering being so happy Sid got the girl haha. Poor sid he deserved a happy ending XD

Would you like the many short films about scrat. I know there is one that came out about the same time or before the first ice age, another one called No time for nuts, and a short series called scrat tales. By the way I’m not sure how to write his name.

Yeah Ice Age 5 hasn’t aged well. It’s not a good as the first few. My favorite one is Dawn of the Dinosaurs. Loved the reaction guys!

There's a spinoff made after Disney's buy out titled The Ice Age Adventure of Buck Wilde. I'm convinced it's a smear campaign to besmirch Ice Age's legacy by Disney. The franchise also suffered from too much character after Ice Age 3, it doesn't work for a movie. Just look at how unimportant Shira became in this one, Brooke would be too if there's an Ice Age 6. Each movie is still enjoyable though.

The only reason i watch men's reaction is because they don't complain as often as women Most womens reaction video is just them complaining about the movie per second and not appriciate the movie

I dont liek the romantic wibe for this movie. Its just not good,. The worst plot and story, but best animation, and in my opnion the funniest sequeince of Scrat 😂
