It takes a mad genius like Masterleaf to show us their true potential.

They require lots of micro as you can see and leaf is known for being a micro god.

I would think Scrin would be Zerg while Protoss was GDI.

Untill someone makes hammerheads or venoms, wich makes ravagers not playable. Sad story, but ravagers are rare to see for a reason.

Ravager is micro sensitive unit. It will less damage if you not use their ability and their ability is very limit. Normal damage output is low for that price. It only opens to micro-macro control player like leaf is able to do it. Cuz more than that Disintegrators is far better with cheaper price. But to be fair. I really love Raveager unit design :D

The problem is that Kane's Wrath has overtuned anti infantry weapons (mostly upgrades like laser capacitors or AP ammo, but even units like Venoms do too much damage by themselves) and vehicle crushing for non heavy infantry. Heavies are just too weak in terms of HP/armor, for the price basic infantry can do as much as HI do (except for fringe cases like this quick ravager). The worst offender would be Zones in Hammerheads(it is really just a per unit upgrade rather than using 2 different units with different counters) The Ravagers also do less damage with Tiberium Agitation as they loose models and are quite bad against most vehicles, but OK against infantry. The Articulators are gonna get used either way for disintegrators so that is an investment that will pay off. This is just another case of mostly bad infantry and tank/vehicle dominance in C&C games. (Possible exceptions are Tiberium Sun, Generals and Dune. Universe at War is another exception if we can count it being made by Petroglyph)

@@Thund3r0v I get that anti infantry is op, and a shredder turret or two would have changed the game. But unless you're already going into to air, it seems like a lot to build an air tower just to counter some infantry that are only good against harvesters and refineries. I guess I'm just imagining what someone like bike rush could do, micro disints and ravagers

@@Mantorok12 Oh no no no, did not imply that the Whitey should have went immediate air tower. I was just commenting that this whole thing worked due to T-59 upgrades and that people never expect Heavy Infantry even though they generally suck( the ravager would be good against MoK manspam tho for DPS+raiding) Well, the Air tower would have had use since masterleaf did pay for 2 portals that he did not sell and got fast legs, but even just resisting the urge to micro every unit would have worked (leave 2 groups of 4 raiders on the 2 sides since every model killed is less damage from Tib Agitation) And I just wanted to answer why HI(or here, Ravagers) is not used, poor balance. Here it worked since people probably forget it is on the Scrin roster.

Ravagers are easy to shut down with venom and hammerhead but MAN do they hit hard vs infantry and vehicles, even without counting their tib snipe ability

If they weren't fast leg ravagers the buggies would have been fine.

he could simply go venoms. Whitey just didn't know how to react to that... understandably, ravs are not broken nor OP units. Just need skills to play them

@@PetersaberHD they have no terrain morphology constraint. They would have been much more efficient than buggies in much smaller numbers
