3 жыл бұрынIt was difficult to prepare for this meet because I tested positive for COVID 19 after my last meet. I had to quarantine for 10 days and then tested negative prior to my return to gymnastics. I'm still trying to regain my strength.
It's been 14 months since I had my second surgery on my elbow for osteochondritis dissecans or OCD. It was a more complex surgery this time around, so my doctor just recently allowed me to start using my arm again.

Wow I’m around Whitney’s age and used to watch her as a young gymnast, she’s grown so much, and is so beautiful. Her floor routine is literally gorgeous.

Does the height make the bars a lot harder for her? She’s a beautiful gymnast but I would imagine swinging longer legs around bars would be much more difficult than shorter legs.

I’m 5”11 and used to do bars and it is soooo much harder especially giants and transitions from high to low like paks as you have to retain different shapes to make sure you don’t hit the lower bar whereas shorter people don’t worry about that

i’m a tall gymnast and the answer is yes, it does make it harder. like with kips you need to straddle otherwise your feet would hit the ground, and executing that requires more leg strength. obviously that’s not the only way height affects you, but it’s one of many. despite this, whitney is such an amazing gymnast and her height does not seem to affect her ability

I’m sure many gymnasts look up to you; and I noticed you’re not arrogant you are very friendly and kind ! ! And that means a lot to younger gymnast that want to be as good as you are ! !

So I’ve watched a ton of her videos and realized her strongest events are beam and floor especially floor and I’ve learned from having long legs and long arms that stuff it makes you look a lot better like no offense to anyone who doesn’t have long arms and legs like you guys are gorgeous too but people with long legs are really pretty too because it looks so graceful and pretty and good and that’s why Whitney’s really good at floor and normally gets really good scores

Bars and beam are her stronger events actually, floor and vault are her weaker, you should see her 2019 meets she scored a 9.800, it's just that her recent elbow surgery in late 2019 has limited her training

@@Spirits.unveiled yeah, she seems to be getting her strength back on bars again in her training videos. Not to mention her upgrades on other events, so we should see big things from her this upcoming season in January,

elite meet they would take two whole points off for two falls meaning her score would be less than an 8.0

I'm so happy you recovered, i was in hospital for 6 weeks two of those on the vent but thank God i have a clean bill of health now

What a strange comment! she was clearly not ill long and a fit healthy young girl is better off getting what is equal to a cold than a person with a compromised immune system that is really ill with it! I didn't eat for as long as it took her to isolate and be back to gymnastics! does anyone deserve to be ill apart from evil people ..the answer is NO

What is it with the floppy on the top, bun hairstyle, that all gymnasts have now? It has to add another 2” to her height. Please go back to braids and ponytails.

why does it matter to you? i’m a gymnast who wears those types of buns at meets and i never have a problem with them. they don’t fall out and it adding height doesn’t affect anything.
