I wrote this song after my 16th birthday while we were filming for "One in a Million" the documentary. So crazy to be finally releasing it on my 18th birthday this year. I am very proud of this song and I hope you can relate to it in some way. Huge thank you to my family for helping me with this video. It was really important to me that they were a part of it. I love you all. Thank you for listening !!

This song is so relatable and emotional but in a good but sad way if that makes sense! The sad part is when you’re little you spend so much time wanting to grow up and be older but then when you get older you would do anything to get to go back and cherish every moment of when you were younger.

I absolutely love this!! As I have a little girl of my own that is always in a rush to get older..it breaks my momma heart because I know that you can’t get your childhood back. When it’s over it’s over..I just try to capture everything I can and soak up these days and snuggle her while I can. You did a beautiful job writing this song! ❤❤

I always used to watch you when I was younger, and sometimes I stop by to watch your new videos. My dad remembers me watching you as a kid, and asks about you every once in a blue moon. I showed him this video today and he had to blow his nose cuz by the end cuz he was crying! He rarely cries... Keep inspiring!

Another fantastic song. I particularly love the lyric “getting up is part of getting older”. As a 53 year old, I can tell you that time does speed by faster as you get older, somehow. Your voice is very unique Whitney, easily recognisable, and I think that one day (perhaps when more people learn about you at Auburn) your musical career is going to skyrocket!
