Beautiful woman with glowing stage presence and, despite the cold and dry air (NOT ideal singing conditions as she mentioned) a proper live vocal too. That's one thing I respect about Whitney is, no matter the conditions, no matter what shape her voice was in, she never tried to fool the crowd with lip syncing. She gave you everything she had to give in the moment, right to the very end. A truly special lady who I miss, a lot! R.I.P 💔

I was 12 going on 13 December of 1998 and I have to say, watching this brings tears to my eyes. If these kids today could only understand how good it felt waking up at 5:45am and getting dressed for school and your mom has this on tv while she's putting a ponytail in your hair and helping you get ready for school. These were the good days, when the world was still living. God bless those who lived to see this and those who were born long after.

If it weren’t for her bad Diane sawyer interview, the bad Michael Jackson tribute where she was so thin, and for her getting arrested with marijuana at the airport in Hawaii nobody would’ve ever known about her drug use. Oh and when she forgot the words and was fired at that awards show. Other than that she always kept it together and never behaved erratically.

I never understood why, when she released My Love Is Your Love back in 1998, the media and critics always made a thing of it was her first album in 8 years. Okay, between IYBT and MLIYL there were 8 years, but she recorded still in between those years. It may have been soundtracks, but they are still credited as Whitney Houston albums. Anyway, the lady with the once in a lifetime voice slays yet again, as always, and I love and miss her, as always.

A-DUB-YA1984 Because negative white people in the media are always using the media to cut someone down or give them backhanded praises. The commentators, hosts and reporters always attempt to use time, age, race & sexuality to devalue people, and to attempt to make them socially irrelevant & sometimes disgraced. It's a manipulative tactic & practice, they use to negatively influence the masses.

@@OldFordTaurus That’s somewhat true. It’s not the entire truth or reasoning. She was literally in a downward spiral. Even the producers who worked with her stated that. In the past, Whitney could record an album while sleep and it be done in no time. With this album it literally took months on end just to finish a couple songs. Either she was in hiding doing what we know she was doing, or she was just not up to par. Plus, when the album was released it was indeed promoted cause it was on Good Morning America, 106 Park which wad literally a major mainstream player at the time for hip hop and RnB plus she was doing radio interviews supporting the album. Unfortunately, due to her erratic behavior in public and disheveled performances, it turned the public off to her artistry and made them focus more on her personal. This was her doing and no one else. In the past they would always speak about her personal but it never affected her art. Her personal well being just took center stage.
@OldFordTaurus
@OldFordTaurus 2 ай бұрын
@@I-AM-BELIEVER this makes sense. Her bad Diane sawyer interview really did a number on her reputation and kinda made people/ the media make a joke out of her especially with the whole “ crack is whack” thing. I remember reading about/ hearing about a lot of people being disappointed with the album. I have it myself and it’s not my favorite from her. It’s not a bad album just not up to her standard.
