Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown--to all intents and purposes, this should have been a match made in heaven. Both young, attractive, successful recording artists, seemingly with the world at their feet--how and why did it all go wrong? This 'perfect' love story went sour and the world was aghast.

The Bobbi kristina story is often overlooked by the shadow of her famous mother , but she is the saddest thing about Whitney’s story. Poor baby never really stood a chance born into a life of addiction and turmoil.

People of the world are so unforgiving, this woman spent her entire adult life performing and giving herself to us. No one considered she had a personal life and her own struggles. It took a lot for Whitney Houston to come back and do interviews and a new album after all she endured and that in itself should have touched the heart of all Americans to recieve her again! She deserved grace and compassion!

I saw the Oprah Winfrey interview with Whitney's mom and brother. It was absolutely disgusting and heartbreaking to hear Whitney's brother talk about Dionne Warwick's sister molesting Whitney and one of her brothers, only to hear the mom respond "well I don't know nothing about that". I'm like yeah ya do. Your son just said it. Therein lies the problem. When sexual abuse is denied and swept under the rug, it's as traumatizing as the sexual abuse itself.

Bollocks. Ann Wilson has the same pitch and a better range and growl when she wants to..... and she didn't treat people like garbage, blow $60M, and gack herself to death freebasing cocaine for 20 years...... or teach her child how to use drugs. Whitney's voice did not make her who she really was: A childish, selfish drug addict. It's nice to recognize her beautiful voice, but don't dismiss her real self. She'd have sooner spit on you than talk to you..... especially if you got in the way of her drugs. Born ghetto, died ghetto. I don't need your respect..... I have truth.

The drugs stared long before Bobby. It was her brother Michael who started her at 14. When it comes to Bobby Brown, he was in a successful group with a crooked Manager Maurice Star who had them traveling the world but still living in the projects. He stole their earnings. Whitney was the Bomb of a Singer. Like she said , "They'll never be another me." She was right. I lo ved Whitney Houston. She had a hell of a life, in her short time here. I can't imagine, living a life, like that. Where your always, in the public, and never, having much time, to chill and relax, always, trying to please, other's. Even with the sacrifice, some people still didn't appreciate , who she was. A beautiful, down to earth, talented singer, who loved, her fans, and they loved, her til, she stumbled. That's the public, you can't truly , trust them. She was the one, putting, in all the work and hectic, schedules. Which I see, how humanly, possible, she did all that. Still when you stumble a bit folks, turn they're back on you and are two faced, anyway. They couldn't see as good as Whitney on her worse, day and talked abt, her like a dog, after she, encountered a lot of troubles. I never did drugs, and had no desire to. I probably wouldn't feel that way, if I was in her world. Like she said it's low down and dirty. No one knows, or cares, why people do drugs, they , just talk abt them and lack compassion. No one lived, her life but her. I beg you all to listen, to , DON"T CRY, for Me. It surely will make you smile, and cry, at the same time. She totally , destroyed, that song, in the BEST way, her ability to sing wth such, emotion and conviction, was phenomenal. I miss her. Her songs, are still being played, in restaurants, and stores. That song, she goes, up, and holds, those, notes, and brings, them back down. Then there's a point in the song, where, she looks, up to her , HEAVENLY , Father, like she's talking to him, in the feeling, of what she's singing. My favorite is the Red Dress, live video with the troops, and Kirk Whalum, playing, that sax. She knew she was the bomb, of a singer, nothing but teeth, of the troops, were showing. She could captivate an audience, like no other. Cissy was smiling turning, around, look like saying, you see that, that's my girl. Someone in the family, on Bobby's side, told what really, happened. Her death was not what they told us, and that was tragic, for poor , Whitney, everyone, left her alone, when she needed to be protected. n What really , happened was tragic. Not the drugs, did she die, from,. Mediia liars. RIP Queen, this world and Industry, is to much. Her God will take care of her. Thank, her for all the wonderful memories. People now are making money, off her fame, and shes been gone, since 2012.. It's all abt money, to many people are supposedly died of drugs, just because they did drugs, but that wasn't how they died, in some cases, and in hers. RIP Queen, Diva, of all Times. Thank you, Whitney.

Bye the way, who lives from her money? Yes her family. Her brothers did'nt protect her. No they were introducing and doing drugs with her. Marrying Bobby Brown was the worst decision Whitney made. She could have had her choice of the cream of the crop. Bobby was insecure, immature and tried to dim her light. I am aware that the drugs started before Bobby, but dealing with a man who cheats and is verbally and physically abusive did not help her mental health. Bobby spent most of their marriage getting arrested and Whitney bailed him out time and time again. Bobby was talented but he peaked before the age of 25. Well Bobby did take responsibility saying they failed their daughter doing those hard core drugs and that man had been the through slot since he was a child he been losing people he loves. He wanted to stay with Whitney but he got clean and she didn’t want to and that’s why they divorced because after his stroke he wanted to stay sober from drugs but he admitted he still Had the Alcohol problem But had not did drugs in about 15 years.

@@chaquitaporter9045The reason why they divorced wasn’t because Whitney didn’t want to get clean. Bobby lied too much about his drug addiction. In her documentary they said that it’s true that Bobby wanted her to get clean, but when She finally decided to get clean, he wasn’t supportive and he started to mess with superhead Karrine Steffans again. Karrine even said that Bobby wasn’t that clean when him and Whitney separated because he was still using and after their divorce he was arrested for drug’s possession.

You know people's business too much. How do you know she could have had anyone she wanted? She chose who she chose. People like to blame Bobby for everything when Whitney clearly had a traumatic childhood just like he did. He's still alive, she's not unfortunately. He didn't get her drugged. They were both bad for each other but maybe she would have struggled with anyone or maybe she would be happier with Robyn? Who knows. People love to blame Robyn or Bobby but yet she still died and they were nowhere near. The sweet and sad thing is when people become successful they want to look after their loved ones. That she was looking after 50 people is so nice but that can make people broke. Sadly it looks like Whitney's mother didn't do her job as a mother as she wasn't around and Whitney and her siblings were mistreated and Whitney ended up not being there for her daughter either for a different reason. I don't think the reality show was that bad. Ratings come about when people are extra, it's often fake. And yes, maybe Bobby wanted to be the bigger one but that is almost all men. They all have egos. Let's say Whitney had married Kevin Costner as many men fantasise, he was a bit star and probably wouldn't have wanted her to be bigger than him either

This Doc loses some credibility points for me. The fact that it is said that Bobby tried to make Whitney's funeral all about him is absurd. Bobby's "entourage" was his other Kids who once called Whitney "mom" because they all loved her. His son even said that he wanted to go up to his sister, but he was prevented from doing so. mind you, there were random celebrities who were allowed to be seated but Whitney's step-children were told they had to stand in the back. Yeah, I would have left too. because clearly that was more of a star-studded affair than an actual funeral. I doubt Whitney would have wanted that.

Her biological child which they shared together was in that funeral DEVASTATED because she lost her primary parent at 18 years old. The only thing that would have been on my mind was sitting next to my child and comforting her. Her “step children” would have just had to understand the situation for the moment and step aside. He let his daughter down. The Houston’s were wrong for the seating arrangement but that’s something that could and should’ve def been addressed after the fact. I would have never left my child to sit there and grieve and suffer w/o me being right next to them.

A lot of what is being said on this is without knowledge. Bobby was not looking for the spotlight at Whitney's funeral. The people that he brought with him were his children. Bobbi Kris's siblings. It was not that Whitney was high when she was performing where her dress came apart in the back. In an interview she explained that as professionals you are taught to not stop performing due to such things. Whitney didn't live in a huge home in Atlanta. She lived in a townhouse in Alpharetta. Whit was as self destructive as Bobby, He just helped heighten the problem she already had.

The whole line that Bobby Brown was responsible for Whitney's fall from grace is so over done. She was a mess long before Bobby came along. If Whitney would have been allowed to live her life on her terms, without her mother's judgment and rules maybe she would have had a chance at true love and happiness. Her love of drugs started young, Her love of Robin started in her teens. She denied herself that love. It's so sad.

Yes but the reality TV show was Bobby's idea. This show destroyed her. It's not only drugs or the fact she did not live a love story with Robin. Many things were going on in her life. Being the cow milk of many people was destroying her and her money. She was also the victicm of domestic violence!

There are many people that have said that Whitney was doing drugs before Bobby came into her life. I believe that they truly loved each other but they were a perfect storm. I remember, as a 50 yr old woman, watching all of this unfold back in the day and wondering why Whitney ever got together with Bobby in the first place, how sad I was to hear about her death and, then sadly to feel like OF COURSE her daughter would follow her. I was around when Whitney Houston was BRAND NEW🙌 Her voice still gives me goose bumps... true vocal talent like her's was, and still is, very rare. She was once in a lifetime, God given talent, her daughter could want nothing but to be near her brilliant light. I still love Whitney Houston and what she shared with us. Her daughter is where she should be- in the light with her mama once she was gone, so I got that🙏 That woman literally sacrificed herself for a small man's ego and if that isn't the definition of love, I don't know what is. God bless her and Bobbi Christina💜

The way she did the Superbowl National Anthem was just perfect. She wasn't in glam, rather, she was in a cute little track suit with simple hair and simple makeup. This carried over to the way she sang it. She didn't do this frantic oversinging, full of tacky ad-libs, overstuffed with runs. She didn't change the tempo or stylize the phonetics of individual lyrics. And she didn't switch syllable emphasis. She didn't feel inclined to stylize the Star Spangled Banner, a very traditional national anthem, to "make it her own." How could anyone have the ego to even consider such a thing? Many, many of her peers in the entertainment industry have, and still do to this day. Cringe. No, Whitney made sure it was about honoring the nation. Every detail of that performance was about honoring the nation, not herself. She was straightforward and subtle in the way she packed her punches-and in those moments, she gave it everything like the genius of singing she was. If it were up to Whitney, she would have sang it live. There is no question from anyone regarding "could have."

I do not understand how society don't know that the drug problem wasn't Bobby's fault. Whitney had an undermining issue with drugs off and on prior to Meeting Bobby. Bobby had issues prior to leaving New Edition the first time. To make a documentary still implementing that Bobby Brown being in her life was the reason to do drugs. They both had their drugs issues but it wasn't on each other. Society so quick to judge & disrespect for their relationship; , no wonder they couldn't have a decent relationship.

I truly believe Nippy and Bobby where soulmates, he made her feel safe and loved ❤️ Bobby was an alcoholic, Nippy was a drug addict, they came together like that! It wasn’t one or the others fault.. Also In my opinion, Whitney was a young teenager when she met Robyn, she looked up to her and knew she would protect her. Whitney was experimenting with Robyn as many young girls do, but I believe Robyn wanted more and that put alot of pressure on Nippy, everyone around her wanted something from her when all she ever wanted was to be loved unconditionally from the people who mattered💔
