Whitney Houston: Fame Doesn't Bring Happiness

It seems to me I had been waiting for Whitney Houston for quite a while. I was to interview her for the film Waiting to Exhale and she did not show up, not only for me, but for any of the international interviews.
I had seen her interview with Diane Sawyer where Whitney made it clear that she was not on crack. I had watched, sadly, as she shrunk right before our eyes during TV appearances so when I did the interview I did not know what to expect and possibly, I knew, she might even lie to me.

"Money doesn’t make you happy and never did and history will tell you that. And fame certainly doesn’t make you happy. You gotta find happiness in yourself. You gotta know who you are before you step into this business. Because if you try to find it, you're probably gonna wind up being somebody else, that you don't even like." This is TIMELESS.

One of the only celebrities to have told the truth how it was. Most celebs hide behind the mask of wealth, fame, and illusory happiness. Houston was a true soul. Rest In Peace to the Queen of R&B.

Whitney did hide especially the drugs. It was a double life nobody would of imagined Whitney Houston would be considered a addict. Even lost teeth & covered it up with prosthetic. So everyone hides part of themselves or choose not to show a certain side.

Dudebro13454 Bro I have watched plenty. Despite what she represented with her music and stage performance, in real life (judging from her interviews) to me she seemed a bit trashy. Don't get me wrong, I adore her as a singer and admire her endlessly, but as a person I was never that fond of her. Apparently, she despised the media so naturally she may have acted defiant and cold with them. I sincerely hope that she was a lovely person, because if she wasn't, her talent isn't worth that much.

Whitney was definitely a talented person singer and actress. People just love to find ways to put her down, but everybody is NOT perfect, if you think that you are you are lying to yourself. It's sad that to Whitney, singing Gospel became just a lovely memory. I don't know if she ever understood that Jesus is the only way to God and Gospel means worshipping the only true God. Sadly, the snake came to Eve Whitney and tempted her with worldly fame and fortune. It would have been hard for anyone to resist this offer. Whitney chose to go into media. I am convinced that it is no coincidence that several famous singers come from a gospel background. It makes it easy for those in control to preach the masses that Whitney is a whatever christian and moral person and that's always a good selling point (same with Katy Perry or Laura Daigle). We don't have to argue about her fantastic voice and her nice personality (at least as much as I can see from interviews, where she shows simply her good/media side and not her flaws and dark side). That are facts. What she did was she became a puppet on a string. No matter how good a human singing voice is, no matter how charismatic and loveable a person is, do we really need them to dance, sing, play etc. for us for entertainment? It might be pleasure for us, but it's a lot of pain for the performers, with the pressure, the fake reality, the loneliness, the constant media hypes and so forth. And it didn't do Whitney any good in the end. After a while, fame was just annoying and a huge downside.

I prefer Whitney’s voice too but think of it when teachers teach students and then grow up to become scientists, engineers, doctors. Singing is basically training your vocals cords, it’s a sport. Whitney learned the fundamentals from her mom and built on. And if you really listen to Cissy and Whitney you can hear the similarities and the techniques Whitney took from her mom.
