Yes Anthony Gail, her delivery of her songs is another differentiating feature of her package. This of course is closely related to her lyrical phrasing and her rare ability to never perform a song in identical fashion - she is always improvising - a timely reminder of her genius.

What can we say about this Queen of the Divas. Whenever I listen to her recorded songs, or watch her videos, live or otherwise, I am lost for words. This performance in Brazil in 1994 can only be described as magical for many reasons. You see, Whitney's primary objective for singing is to satisfy her fans, so even if she has a cold or is not enjoying perfect health, we would never know. The fans here provided the perfect atmosphere for God to" walk through the room" and got Whitney in the spirit which brought out the magic and that deep spirituality she always had. The audience was literally eating out of her hands and hanging on to her every word. It is very rare indeed to see this kind of interaction between audience and singer. This is not very surprising, as the combination of Whitney' s God given vocals and the way she manipulates that gift, plus the emotional energy she packs into the songs, her striking physical beauty, deep spirituality which gives her inner strength, and tremendous level of self confidence, all provide a most potent cocktail for an explosive performance , and conveys to the audience, a level of sincerity that is unparalleled in music history. Because of all these outstanding qualities she possessed and in particular, her vocal genius (a divine gift), we often tend to forget what a fantastic performer she was. Indeed, in my opinion, her brilliance as a performer was matched only by her stunning natural beauty, vocal prowess, deep spirituality and her tremendous self- confidence. This is Whitney at her peak, and in some way,proves the point often made that her live performances were better than her recorded music, if that is even possible . But that is the measure of the sheer genius of this legendary singer - as special and gifted as she was, she never stopped evolving to even higher heights, as she was not one to settle for anything less than perfection. Indeed, she did achieve that goal (perfection) , which has always proven so elusive to us mortal human beings!! Thank you Whitney, my Queen for all time, for the tremendous joy and happiness you provided while you were present in the flesh, and continue to provide to me through the rich musical legacy you left. I know deep in my heart, I will never ever forget, and in your own words, will always love and cherish you, not only as an unparalleled singer, but also as one of the greatest human beings to ever inhabit mother Earth!!! As far as not taking care of herself, you nor I can even imagine the demands that were put upon HER. All she wanted was love and to be in love; baby and rest with our father baby! I thank God for letting us have you for the time we had with you and your gift! When you her these new singers in interviews and they are asked who was their inspiration/Idol. The first that comes out of their mouths is WHITNEY HOUSTON! She is the reason for pop music. Britney, Megan Trainor, Demi Levoto, Christina Aguilera, and list goes on on on! What are you talking about? This was 1994, this was indeed her prime; it was "The Body Guard" era. She never sang better, this was her at her most electrifying point.

Her prime was in the 80's when her voice was at her PEAK and BEST. This is not her prime like I already stated. This is 94, when her voice started to get more "darker" ask anybody who really listens to Whitney and knows music, they will most likely tell you the same thing I said.

First of all, I am a Whitney extrordinare, ok. And ANY ONE with an incling of Whitney Houston knowledge will tell you that Whitney was in her prime in the mid 90's; although she was nearing the end of her prime. Let's not forget that her #1 song was released during this era, and I need not name it. This was less than two years after the release of "The Bodyguard." Are you serious? Listen to her South Africa performance, it's the best performance of her entire career, and it was recorded in 1994 also. She hits every note flawlessly, and by this time period she had expanded her vocal range from a high soprano, to coloratura range. Her "prime" was from 1985-1995. It was in late 1996 that she began to get a husky tone after "The Preacher's Wife." This is noticeable during the "Royal Brunei" performance as well as throughout her "Pacific Rim" tour. And by 1998-2004 it was extremely husky and heavy and by 2009 it was through! Now that's the Whitney Houston vocal chronology if you want to get technical. I am an expert on her voice. You are not.

Her voice was an actual force of nature, with the added sweetness of something divine. Plus her conviction and connection to a song was (and still is) bettered by none.
