Yes I love her no matter how much of yourself you give to your art singing all over the world people will ridicule her ,she was so human and all of us have flaws and struggles in our lives , she also gave back, had a foundation and sang for benefit at many concerts this makes me mad when people just criticize and point out her struggles she is so real she did what she had to do we looking from the outside we don’t know what had to endure in her life time

So sad. Whitney wasn't well. Physically sick, autopsy described her liver being faty and congested which explains her coughing and heavy breathing. Arista and the lazy folks in her estate who refuse to get a real job instead of making money off of her voice; should have gotten her some medical attention and intense rehab. I can't stand people who make coin off of the backs of the legends. She couldn't even enjoy her life, had to suppress pain with dangerous drugs and harmful nicotine. Literally the worst moment in vocal music history when her voice was silenced.

YES! The voice, the resonance and power were still there in her, she was just going through so much at the time and wasn't in the right state to be touring so much and as you say, she hadn't fully got used to singing with her huskier, richer and deeper voice and deteriorated breath control.

Whitney voice is trained for this but she lost most of her voice and it was damaged so badly but she darn sure tried if she had of stop with drugs in 03 she would've kept her voice cause she could still blow when she made try it on my own.

My theory is that Whitney could have made this work by softening her tone and lifting her vocals off the chords. Think Janet Jackson, Ciara, or Aaliyah. Whitney was a natural belter, so that softer style of singing would not have been natural to her, but it might have allowed her to get through the songs on this tour better.

I actually think it was a "ploy" used to distract from having to actually sing the song. I might be off on this but my 25 years in the entertainment industry watching performers at all levels leads me to believe it was not sincere.
