Lyrics:
And so you know the way it feels to cry
The way that I cried when you broke my world in two
Baby, I learned the way to break a heart
I learned from the best
I learned from you (Oh baby now)
I learned from you

IT WAS A GIFT AND WE ALL OUR HAVE OUR INDIVIDUAL GIFTS. SINGING LIKE MS. HOUSTON IS NOT MINE!!! I AM OKAY WITH THAT!! I CAN NOT LISTEN TO LONG OR I GET SAD AND DEPRESSED. HER INNER DEMONS WERE STRONGER THEN HER GIFT. IF WE FEED OUR DEMONS, THEY CAN DESTROY US. SHE IS MISSED DEARLY!!

This is one criminally underrated song!!! Whitney straight up killed this and it should have been a Number 1 smash across the board! If there is any female artist who deserved more Number 1 hits, it's Whitney. Hard to believe with all the quality work she released in the later half of the 90s and into the 2000s that Exhale (Shoop Shoop) was her last Number 1 in 95. In a just world, songs that would've been Number 1 after ExhaleWhy Does It Hurt So BadI Believe In You And MeStep By StepWhen You BelieveHeartbreak HotelIt's Not Right But It's OkayMy Love Is Your LoveI Learned From The Best (basically every single released from the MLYL album should've been Number 1)Could I Have This Kiss ForeverSame Script, Different CastMillion Dollar Bill

Whitney didn’t only just sing to the masses, she sang to each and every single one of us. She demanded your attention and made you feel what she wanted you to feel. Pain, love, loss whatever it was, we felt it. She set the bar high for future generations. There will never be another Whitney. 😞 Whitney was and will always be a goddess.

Omg so much to say about this song! It is one of my VERY favorites of Whitney Houston's!! Total goosebumps! The instruments (horns, drums, piano)...absolutely gorgeous and greatly contribute to its power in addition to of course Houston's stunning voice. The editing is brilliant, giving the illusion that Whitney is "harmonizing with herself".....again complete gooseflesh!! And that refrain though (2:39 right on to the end of the song)....that wonderful refrain immediately followed by that SPECTACULAR instrumental interval..I could always literally picture in my head a man trying to win a woman's affections back and she just throws her arm up to him gracefully in time with the music with a hurt look on her face, not unlike the scene in the Mamma Mia Broadway musical. 100% hair-standing-on-end stirring, moving, and beautiful!!!!

Did you really think that… I would really take you back Let you back in my heart… One more time (Oh, no-no) Did you think I'd still care… That there'd be one feeling there Did you think you could walk back… In my life (oh) So you found you missed the love you threw away Baby, but you found it out too late, too late And so you know the way it feels to cry (to cry) The way that I cried when you broke my world in two And baby, I learned the way to break a heart I learned from the best, I learned from you Oh, baby, now, I learned from you I remember cold nights Tears I thought would never dry How you shattered my world… With your goodbye (your goodbye, baby) Woulda sold my soul then… Just to have you back again Now you are the last thing on my mind Now you say you're sorry and you've changed your ways Sorry, but you changed your ways too late And so you know the way it feels to cry (to cry) The way that I cried when you broke my world in two And baby, I learned the way to break a heart I learned from the best, I learned from you Oh baby, now, I learned from you So when all you've got are sleepless night When those tears are clouding up your eyes Just remember it was you… Who said goodbye, who said goodbye And so you know the way it feels to cry (to cry) The way that I cried when you broke my world in two And baby, I learned the way to break a heart I learned from the best, I learned from you (I learned the way to break a heart) I learned from the best, I learned from you I learned from the best, I learned from you

Whitney Houston. The Voice. The Talent. The Generous Spirit. She was a good person. She was nothing but happy for the success of others. When Celine Dion won the 1997 Grammy Award for Album of the Year, Whitney sent her flowers and a note. Celine's late husband said so in an interview in French. And Whitney loved and respected everyone's talent.

Whitney Houston could sing ANY type of Music R&B Pop Rap Opera. You name it, she could sing it. She really was a Stylist in her own right. That is what set her apart. As far as I am concerned much of her often referenced "Pop" Music, actually was Soul Music. Let's call it "Soul Pop" She created a Genre. ONE OF A KIND.
