I'm a new Carver and really liked the video. I am 65 and like the slow meditation that carving helps me with its peaceful to me.

Gene, Thank you so much for the 2 Hobo carvings !!! I will treasure them !! They also opened my eyes about trying to make my carving to smooth. I love the way yours have that rough look, I guess you call it. And also the 1 1/2" X 1 1/2" X 12" pieces are on there way.

I'm with the last guy gene. I really enjoy listening to u talking and whittling. Ur not in some big hurry. I don't and wouldn't whittle in a hurry. It's about exploring what's in that wood. Oh hey I had to show my husband ur electric strop. He was like oh. Cute

That is a Charles Simpson knife ..love it ..Charles passed away last year
