Me, nice outfit for Xmas morning gathering & evening gathering with family in a nice button down top & pajama pants pulled over top of dress pants. Step-dad comments upon arrival: “When I gave you those pants I didn’t mean for you to wear them here.” Mother comments later to another family member later: “She doesn’t usually dress like that.” Me, I respond with silence thinking should I reply with: “I’m sorry did you say something? OR I didn’t realize you thought I must come dressed in what your body isn’t even wearing.” All while laughing my ass off because I don’t really care while they seem to. Later someone was talking about how some people shop at Walmart in their pajamas & I reply: “Yeah, I thought it was Halloween. I came dressed as a Walmart shopper.” People make me laugh especially when they seem to care about stupid things that really don’t matter to some or as much to other people. Some have far more interesting & important things to worry about than trying to impress or make some sort of statement by the way in which they dress. Fashion among other things is overrated. Wear whatever the hell you want as long as you’re comfortable but I personally don’t want to see anyone’s cleavage or boxers. Haha

As a INTP I hate jobs with hierarchy. The idea that someone with a lesser mind will be in charge of me will irritate the hell out of me. At the same time I don't want to be the boss either, the idea of having to baby sit lesser minds will also irritate me lol. The person in charge in my opinion has to be highly intelligent, because that is the only time ill accept it because then I feel like I actually have something to learn from that person to further my own knowledge and the position they have is actually justified in my head.

Yeah, I love smarter people than me when they are just honestly smarter and not controlling. When they use controlling or shaming tactics (gloating, fast talking, arrogant proclamations) to get their way, I shut them out because those are the same tactics the less smart people in my life have used and have messed me up. So... love smart people, as long as they aren't trying to discombobulate me, make me trip, then point out my tripping (only *because* of them) as proof of my inferiority. Only opinionated people of inferior reasoning skills are worse.

INTP's are not really good advice givers, per se. We are not counselors. Although we are good at pattern recognition and are quite good at predicting outcomes, it doesn't necessarily mean we know what's best to do in a given situation. Any advice we might give would probably be overly centered around observing facts rather than affecting them.

Intp here: I think “intelligence” as a metric is stupid. Every cognitive function is the equal to every other in terms of value to the collective humanity, and we can’t even agree on what intelligence is! Is it Ti, Te, Si, Ni, Ne, Se, what? All of the above? Some particular mix? Why is it so damn important? Literally every single type can be “more intelligent” than any other type based on how mature and developed they are, so development is really the only category that matters.

@RichH93
@RichH93 4 жыл бұрын
Yes I think logic or logical analysis is the key here as Tyler said, you are correct Daniel (I’m also an INTP, so I agree) intelligence isn’t measurable, there’s many ways to define it, some people are better at things than others, it doesn’t make them more intelligent, some people get things that others don’t, that also doesn’t make them more intelligent. So I think Ti is more about logic, analysis, reasoning, etc

The problem with relying on "logical consistency" is that it creates thinking/reasoning that disregards a lot of context and overlooks crucial variables so that it fits with their own mental models. Mental models are always ultimately arbitrary and value based, not based on objective reality. If my mental model/categorisation of the world differs from yours, then you are being logically inconsistent from my perspective. Letting go of that crutch will let you actually consider everything by itself and leaves you more open to seeing the full picture, instead of trying to cram it into a neat category.
@tyleroldham4676

@@rumble1925 what if my mental model is to just look at reality and nature to see what's possible but then realize and try to understand the depth of misunderstanding possible in human thinking. Are all mental models or strategies flawed or are they all just tools that have a specific purpose to visualize a certain aspect of reality useful at a certain time? Then again maybe reality is an illusion and I can't prove that wrong and anything could be truth. Screw this logics hard.

@susana anjanette I'm not quite sure what your question is. To clarify what I said I said the difference is judging vs. perceiving which is the last letter, that's why I have a P at the end and intj has a J at the end. I don't really care how many people back up a claim I used the word itself and just read it there was no long database off empirical information I sorted through I just read the name and it was in the title. My proof and source were in the the question and the answer and the definition itself I didn't make anything up.

I'm not sure if I've ever written a youtube reply in all the years I've used it - but that dynamic you just described, whether it's about clothes or anything else for that matter, like how to schedule, or exercise, or work, or even just be happy, describes my real-life scenarios perfectly! I find out something's wrong, I analyse the problem and research for solutions, I probably figure out how to fix it... and then I'm just unable to make it happen. =( And I still have no idea why, or how.

@@donbasilkannangara7687 y know what, from my experience, INTP understand them self really well, what they want, what they need to do. what confuse them almost all the time is external (other people) thoughts, opinions, or believes. We have so much problem fitting in, that is why sometimes we think about those external things too much. If you somehow able to focus on what you think is right and just do it with confident, you'll make it. Because if we didnt make it we can always adapt and improvise quickly.

Sometimes, as an INTP, I feel like that I actually am a really-really bad person. I think that I'm actually a psycho, but now I know the reason. When my father died 7 years ago, I remember it was a cold night, my families were grieved, my mother was cried hysterically and so my big brother. Instead, I did not feel anything atm, my aunt kept telling me that my father Infront of me already died but I still didn't feel anything. I was thought that it just a phase of human life and everyone will die eventually, until my brother yelled at me 'What are you doing? It's our father who died!!!' So tried so hard to cry, I didn't even know if that was a real cry or not. And when everyone was still grieving, I decided to sleep so maybe tomorrow I would get my feeling and start to grieve. But after several weeks, I started to think that I don't have my father anymore, the one who was always love me no matter what I did, then finally I can feel my lost and start to cry sincerely. Don't be like me my fellow INTP friends, feeling is important. Don't be so full of logic in those important moments and just blend in. Have a good day!

To my fellow INTPs that are claiming that they have no intelligence or "smart": There are different forms of intelligence. You don't have to be Albert Einstein smart. You can be Picasso smart, Mozart Smart, Lionel Messi smart, Larry Page smart, etc. My point is you don't have to fit the stereotype of being a "mathematical-science wiz". Like Joe said, we love to "specialize". Every one of you are smart in one area more so than other area in your life. And if u feel that ur the jack of all trades, then maybe u need to work on growing a little bit. :/

Unless you're a hardcore fan of the story and like making theories, you won't look into it. I'll doubt almost every aspect of it and make sure there aren't any plot holes. I'm an INTP, here's a little anekdote: When i was younger my dad often went out with me and my brothers to a lake and just relax in the evening before going to bed. So i was like 8/9/10 (dont know exactly) and before going there me and my brother had a discussion, about who is going to sit in the front seat in the car. We said he will sit there on the way to the lake and i will sit there on the way home. But when we wanted to go home, my brother switched into: "No, i am older than you and therefore its my right to choose the seat". We had a little fight and basically i was like: "Okay, f*** this sh**, i am out of here", so i just quit and walked about 15km into the little town where my grandparents lived, because - u know - at grandma's house everything is always fine :). My dad was searching for me, driving around and even thinking about calling the police..because i said NOTHING.. i was just gone I am 22 now and still i have some problems communicating my actions in terms of just leaving the situation. I am always thinking: "U dont have to care about me, you are fine as well so i dont have to care about you...so where is the problem?" Loved the video, thumbs up!

They'll land on their feet and they'll be fine, but you'll never see them or listen to their voice until the day you die because they'll take what you did as the ultimate act of betrayal and abandonment (specially if you also abuse their Fe inferior in the process). I think it's Best to gradually Prepare your INTP child for Autonomy : - I told my son at age 15, "This is your last free summer, enjoy it fully because when you're 16, you will have to start working to gain experience & self confidence". - He started working at a store the following summer. He gained enough Knowledge & Experience to know for sure that he could rely on his own skills to support himself fully eventually. - When he left for college, he had money in the bank & the work experience he needed to find part time work to support himself right through his university education - He was also involved, right from age 13, in the accomplishment of the House Maintenance Tasks so that he would contribute to his & the family's Wellbeing & to Learn How to do them when he would leave home (laundry, cleaning). And from that age, he also helped me prep & cook dinner every single day - When he finally left home at age 19 to go to college, he was more than ready & absolutely willing to go & start building his own life, no threats, no bribe, just Love, Responsibility, Contribution, Practical Knowledge, Skills & Know Hows Anyone else had this kind of experience as an INTP or with their INTP child ? : )

I've experienced that, with myself. I had discussion with another INTP (who had near-eidetic memory) about the logic of a particular topic... The topic itself isn't important. A third party (A random gothic emo dude who was quietly sitting on a chair minding his own business) suddenly tried to dictate what i could or couldn't talk about... He wasn't even part of the discussion, never participated in the discussion at all, and never gave a reason as to why i couldn't talk about these things, and yet, all of a sudden he thought he was the boss of what people could talk about. Oh boy, let's just say he regretted doing that. :S I don't go around interrupting the discussion of random people in the street, and trying to dictate what they can and cannot talk about... What moron does that? I managed to restrain myself, but he's lucky i didn't slap his face to a pulp, to be honest. I am rarely angry, i can count on one hand the amount of times i've been angry in my life... Otherwise i get frustrated or irritated at best. : /

As an INTP (male, 30) who has done a huge amount of personal growth over the past 5 years, I would say that the INTP that you are describing is an immature one. I'm not sure how many INTPs actually get out of the immature state though. For me, when I discovered the logical argument that my lack of awareness of my emotions could affect the accuracy of my logic, I decided to work on my EQ (with help from YT channels such as HealthyGamerGG). The INTP that rejects the emotional world will never reach a level of true logical thinking.

Also as an INTP I would add that challenge me too much with deadlines or whatnot, I'm just going to eff off and leave -- Because I don't need to be controlled or dictated to by you, because "I am smarter than you, and I can do it without you... And I can cut you out too, because I refuse to encourage this any further for my own needs of individuality and space and respect"... But me personally I have an issue with authority and I have issues with needing freedom and space so maybe thats just my own issues with authority here. But I absolutely REFUSE to be controlled -- maybe thats just me.

Convince me boring work is necessary = I will do it ; Tell me to do boring work = I won't do it Treating me as someone who is not ready to understand the reasoning for any reason other than not being in a particular situation and being unaware of many aspects of the desscribed situation is going to result in me ignoring a person as much as i can. I want to be respected and not dictated or controlled. Another way to motivate me is telling me something is importand to you. If i care about the relationship i will try to do it unless your behaviour had already indicated that the relationship is ruined or me doing that something isn't going to improve the relationship. Pay me with honest long-term gratitude and i will do whatever it takes to earn it.

Omg, I just found out that i am an INTP and have to tell this story: When I was in 10th grade my math teacher asked me why I didn't bring my homework to school that day. (Can't remember the reason - I had an A+ btw) Anyway, she said this to me from her desk, meaning in front of everyone. She then told me that for not bringing my homework that I had to copy a whole chapter. I flipped through the chapter to see how long it was and I said "No way". She just stared at me with her jaw on the floor (at the same time everyone gasped). In my mind, writing down 20 something pages was ludicrous! And I told her that. She told me to go out into the hall. She came out right before the bell rang and I told her I was sorry but it wasn't happening. She just walked back into the classroom and it never came up again. I still can't believe I didn't get sent to the principal, lol. I have always hated authorities of any kind. And there was no way I was going to waste my time writing a whole chapter! My mind just could not rationalize that.

Anyone who has to call himself a genius - isn't. ~ Stephen King

First off, Stephen King, if properly cited above, just lost all of my respect. Do you think that Einstein didn't know he was a genius? Bull. Tesla? C'mon. Average people DO NOT learn to utilize polyphasic sleep patterns to access subspace. They do average things. Like go to the zoo 4 times in a summer. Or live the same year 75 times. That's absurd. I have a pretty strong conviction for what I'm about to say, so I thought it worth sharing. There is a DISTINCT difference between ignorance due to some kind of mental deficit (e.g.-Borderline Intellectual Functioning), whereas a person perfectly capable of retaining knowledge "chooses" not to. I call this blatant or willful ignorance. And truth be told, I abhor the behavior. Granted, everyone has the right to free will and individual belief, but if you don't know the answer? Find it. Ask. Read. GOOGLE lol! Something. Make an effort. #Educate2Elevate #EmpoweredPeopleEmpowerOtherPeople

@@rebelliarosetm2008, King said that in response to Donald Trump prattling on about how smart he is, and I'm sure that Einstein "knew" he was a genius, he knew he understood more than most people, but he didn't go boasting about how smart he is, which was King's point. What Einstein also did know was just how much he didn't know. To further the discussion of what precisely I meant in sharing that quote, which should be obvious, is that the more you know, the more you become aware of how much you don't know and that has a way of humbling a person. That's why smart people are not likely the ones talking about how smart they are. Once that door to knowledge is opened, one sees just how large the library of knowledge is and that does not make anyone feel smart. That is the OP's conundrum, that those who don't open that door, who live in a very small world where they can feel "smart" because of the things that they are absolutely certain of are quite annoying to the people who understand just how much they (themselves) don't know. It may sound like a contradiction, but any person who has decided to walk the path of knowledge and understanding is perpetually and acutely aware of their own ignorance - and that's why they do it. The OP knows how much they don't know, yet at the same time is frustrated by people who don't know as much as they do. It probably is an INTP struggle, I struggle with it myself. The OP does not need advice on how to learn, in fact, I'm pretty sure the OP is aware of exactly why they both loathe ignorance and feel ignorant, and just how much they know in comparison to others. They learn that every time they try to talk to someone who is so very certain about what they know. An INTP knows quite well how to learn. We also know that so many people out there don't want to learn, and it's hard for us to understand why they are so ignorant. Curiously, that's why we're here - we're trying to understand why.

I'm an INTP. I was married to a very abusive man and had spent 8 years trying to make up my mind as to what I was going to do about it. I went to work one day with a black eye and a co-worker said "if you don't leave him I'll call CPS and then your kids will be taken away" (whether she would have done it or not, idk). That forced me to make the decision to leave and take me out of my "comfort zone". It was the best thing that someone has ever done for me - until later when I married my INTJ husband and I found someone perfect for me and I for him.

6:55 is both painfully and hilariously accurate. Just three hours ago, I was having a discussion with my husband about a kidney infection that nearly killed me when I was a teenager. I began explaining that it was incredibly severe because the bacteria had evolved to be resistant to antibiotics, and began rambling on about how bacteria develop that adaption. He became frustrated and abruptly cut me off then proceeded to explain to me that I've told him this story and explained antibiotic resistance to him many times before. "How do you not remember telling me this and also why do you need to explain something that's common sense?!" he angrily spewed at me. I replied, "Well, I wouldn't really consider it common sense because many people aren't aware that this happens. And I remembered telling you the story, but didn't know if you remembered how antibiotic resistance develops." "Also, geez man, I just like talking about it."

"They are legitimately worried that other people in the world are stupid." As an INTP, I genuinely started to have that worry when I started noticing that my former classmates are holding executive jobs. As for fashion sense, I used to let my mom buy my clothes until late high school. But in the past 10 years or so -and probably due to my ENTJ sister's influence and my interests in arts- I started to develop a bizarre wardrobe. It had mellowed down a bit but I still get "that looks cool but I'd never do it myself" comments.

From birth until age 14, I was taken to Sunday school and church by my mother. It was just the way it was and nobody questioned it. Then, I started to pay attention to what was being taught in church. I was genuinely interested and I learned a lot, quickly. But, it didn't take long before I could see way too many holes in the plots, so to speak. I started asking difficult questions of my teachers and my mother, that they were unable or unwilling to answer. Without fear, I questioned everything and it soon became apparent that all of these people had not only been lying to me and misrepresenting themselves to me, but that they were lying to themselves - WISHING that all of the crap they were saying in church was true, but KNOWING (because they were not stupid people) that it was not real. So, in a time before the internet existed, at age 14, I presented my youth bible study group with a 30 minute, fully referenced lecture, with bibliography, pointing out the many fallacies and lies that we were collectively being brainwashed with weekly, if not daily. I pointed out how wrong it was to be knowingly manipulated by trusted adults and, as children, to have our futures dictated to us by such ingenuous charlatans. I did this completely independent of any adult input, even riding my bike to the public library to do the research on my own. My mother cried when she was told what I did. The youth pastor asked me to stop coming to bible study group. And within a couple of months all but a few of the other kids stopped going to bible study group too. Out of embarrassment, my mother started going to a different church. I was certainly not expected to join her. Why did I do this, stepping far outside my comfort zone and making all that effort? I did it to call out the injustice of forcing children to listen to and obey professional liars (pastors) who used fear, guilt, and shame as motivational tools. I did it because people I cared about were having their freedoms taken away and their worldviews manipulated by people who's paid jobs were to perpetuate lies to children and naive parents. I did it because at a relatively young age, I asked "why?", "how?", and "can you prove it?" I did it because when I tried to connect the dots between reality and religion, I couldn't and it deeply concerned me. I did it because I am an INTP.

This particular topic really interested me. I mean there's not many people use their mind on such topic as religions they usually focusing their knowledge to science or stuff like that. In no way I said the following statements to 'advertise' my religion, it just funny that I link my INTP-ness to Islam. You know what? For my critical thinking and logical mind I found that Islam (the one that you learn through the real teacher and not media) is a very Logical religion, they found very Logical explanation about things I'm curious with. It's not about what "she said, he said". It's about answering questions with solid sources. And that's really amazing. I mean if you really done all that at the age of 14 then what's stopping you to do other religions too? I'll be happy to learn more

But they thought differently (in a actually wrong way). After ten minutes of pointless arguing I just left them where they stood and started doing my picture. I was practicly the only person who had time to finish. And I was the only one in my class that has understood the instructions correctly. In fact, this project had such bad results that the teachers didn't let it count for the grades. My whole class got Es and Ds while I got a B+. I am a INTP-T and that fashion thing is not true. but it is very true lol. so I had really bad fashion sense, I never really cared about it. 1 year ago I was debating with this cool popular rich "fashionable" guy in collage and he was really stupid with crap arguments. he was getting mad from my arguments and then he commented on my dressing sense, that "how can someone take you seriously when you dress like that" and some other things. and he and his friends laughed at me. and this thing for some reason got stuck in my head, those lines started making mad. and then I started researching about fashion, its history, different style, designers, clothing trends, runway shows etc. fast forward to now after all the research turns out that "fashionable" guy's dressing was so basic and he was little bit behind the current trends, I don't care about "trends" but still it matters in the context. so i bought all of clothing from thrift/vintage/military stores but those pieces were inspired by designer pieces. so now I have really good pieces and I could make different outfits from those pieces. I wear them whenever there is a chance interaction with these "fashionable" people. one month ago my friend was sitting in a group and they were arguing about a topic, that guy was also sitting in that group. I saw the chance to take my revenge and somehow i succeeded to relate that topic with fashion and that "fashionable" guy fell for the bait and gave some arguments. after that, guess what? I literally bullied him on fashion in front of many people who use to think of him as a fashion god. I still feel really bad about him. now he and some of his friends avoid me in the college lol. he is still so pretentious about himself so I am not going to say sorry. even now most of the time in dorm i wear sweat pants, 3 year old tees and crocs lmao. because I still don't care about fashion tbh.

I'm not your typical INTP. I'm socially developed and have emotional intelligence. I was reading somewhere that not all INTPs are into tech, etc. I am definitely one of those. My area of "interest" that I obsess about is the human experience (mostly behavioral psychology, philosophy). I went to bars, lounges, and nightclubs all the time alone just to observe and try different ways of speaking to women to see what reaction I'd get. I'd even try out the theory that "nice guys finish last" by being subtly condescending when chatting w/ women (was still nervous everytime for the first minute or so) as an experiment to see what result I'd get. It wasn't until this year that something internally happened in me where I think I have figured out the social puzzle of nightlife and have lost most interest in it - almost instantly. As far as professional and personal settings: some advice I'd give is to preface your input with something like "my intention is not to offend but to provide another perspective" and then say what you're going to say. People are much more receptive to you and much more willing to crown you as an authority figure in your professional and social lives when you use this type of approach. My theory is that people don't mind bowing to an intellectual superior as long as it's their idea lol (some humor and some truth in that one). I am guilty of the other typical INTP things though: procrastination, doubting myself but once I get started and see something through, it ends up being effortless and great output. I'm still trying to work past that one. Sidenote: Unfortunately nice guys DO finish last in today's society, but that doesn't mean we have to become jerks. Stand firm in your values and standout from the crowd. Over time, your demeanor will attract those that value decency and respect -- but you can't do that by staying in the house lol. Get out there and socially fumble and figure out this thing called life. I'm still working on it, but believe me, you will catch on quicker than you think and end up on the other side better than most.

Relationships for INTPs (according to MBTI methodology, taken from C.S Joseph's Quora video): 1. Golden pair: INTP - ENTJ (switch I/E and P/J) Highest understanding/emotional compatibility "Best" emotional/sexual compatibility Greatest high points, worst low points 2. Silver pair: INTP - INTJ (switch P/J) Highest level of mutual respect, but not understanding Very good emotional/sexual compatibility 3. Bronze: INTP - ESFP (switch everything but P/J) The most common marriage and longest-lasting relationships (usually). Companionship - one fills the other's shortcomings. Emotional/sexual compatibility is not very high, but the relationship feels like being a child again, very freeing. 4. Pedagogue: INTP - ENFJ (switch everything but N/S) The relationship for developing/learning the most from each other. Sexual compatibility is off the Richter scale. It is recommended to be intimate as often as possible. Like, daily. Emotional intimacy needs to be developed - ENFJs should value the INTP's ethics, and INTPs should value the ENFJs intelligence. 5. Benefactor: INTP - INFJ (switch everything but I/E and N/S) Very little conflict, lots of respect. Very good emotional/sexual compatibility (same as silver pair)

INTP male here. Your comment on 23:30 is so true. I crashed a car at age 15, swore I would never drive again in my life. When age 20, my mother said "your small sister is going to get her lincence before you, are you going to let that happen?". That solved the issue.

It's very strange how we suck at (mostly physical) activities, at first. But then, as we gain confidence in that skill, we're awesome at it. At least that's been my experience with parallel parking. 🤣 This doesn't apply to cognitive skills, however. We pretty much kick ass from the start.

Always thought I was INFP until last year when I realized I was so removed from Fi that I hadn't understood what it was and had confused it for my Si. Also, being the youngest child, a female, and intensely perfectionistic and sensitive to criticism muddied the waters quite a bit. After the initial shock, everything now makes a LOT more sense!

Wow as an INTP this is spitting truths left and right. I have super lenient parents that let me do whatever I wanted. It hit when you said that if INTPs get too comfortable they get stuck in a never progressing loop. After high school I had scholarships and didn’t take them because school isn’t what I wanted and pretty much sabotaged my future because I thought I could become successful all by myself. Damn...

As an INTP, here's what validation feels like: imagine you're walking down the street, thinking you look pretty good, you like your outfit, etc. Then somebody walks up to you and slips you a $20 because they think you're homeless. And then theyre shocked that youre not grateful. It's like, if someone's telling you you're great there's an unstated assumption that I must be desperate for their approval and lucky me, I'm getting it! Yeah, no. And then people get upset that I don't validate them and I'm like yeah, because I respect you!

I am an INTP with an excellent sense of fashion, color and design. My mother (ISFJ) insisted that I was to be well groomed and immaculately dressed. As with anything, I decided to master these “S” functions and though it still isn’t natural for me, my studies have paid off. I can however enter any room and analyze it for design and color. Thank you so much for your insights and helpful teaching. You are so right, I will blow someone off permanently because they aren’t appreciative. If you’re gonna do the time ...

I will say this.. as an INTP the way that I have gotten myself to be less uninterested in people and to not be as condescending because someone may seem less intelligent is to find something unique about them; something that doesn't quite fit or something that I can learn from them somehow. I do hate when I'm called condescending though and I'm literally just telling the truth, it's not personal, it just facts. You really understand how the INTP brain works, which makes you a dangerous individual.

So damn accurate! Mostly! You helped me see my shadow (unconscious) more clearly and I had been trying to deal with it. Most of time I have to outsmart myself to not smoke weed, lay in bed, play video games, watch movies and rather go to work instead. Getting out of the comfort zone, nah rather, throwing myself out of the comfort zone is so crucial for me. It completely changes my mindset and pushes me towards growth. I actually also relate so much with the SSJ Vegeta Rage! I have done it so many times and that rage feels good once in a while. Whether its a fight or when I'm pissed off with myself. It's like the beast within (the super ego itself) and it's more like a double edged sword. Thanks so much for this video man, I really respect you for putting it out here with so much effort.

That being said though, you've indirectly chastised me lol and made me see the error in my ways. I've decided to go to college in some place far away, so that it puts me outside of my comfort zone and forces me to utilize my talents. I've been so worried about my future because I've scrutinized every possible option and contingency and hypothetical, and I haven't been happy with any of them. You've helped me to take a risk, and I thank you for that. Small nit-pick edit: I have very good fashion sense lol, thank you very much. I do wear the same few "good" outfits every week though lol I have an update for you guys! I know it's been two years, but I've officially been accepted into a missionary school! Time to get my passport when COVID calms down, and I never thought I would do that. Thank you, Chase. You changed my life.

For some reason I am JUST now finding your channel, and I appreciate it so much. Subscribed! You have the INTP nature under a microscope. All of this is true, accurate, and relatable. Thanks for analyzing us lol. I think we are the type that needs to most help and understanding. I guess most NT types do. My mom is a solid INTJ. She and I are both highly misunderstood by the world. Sometimes it’s a beat down. INTJs seem to be incredibly self-assured, however. I beat myself up and second guess myself regularly. Trying to overcome this constant battle of being my own worst enemy. Heh Oh and my oldest son is an ENTP for sure. That makes me even happier to watch you!

Reading through these comments has been like a Rollercoaster ride. Some of them tick me off and some I sympathize with. Being as old as I am, I find myself giving more & more advice because it just seems that I can relate to almost everything. One thing I have to say to fellow INTPs, is although knowledge is a beautiful wonderful thing, and most people are completely boring, don't deny how really important human relationships are. Learn to forgive! Learn to give people the benefit of a doubt! Even when you see someone is manipulating you, that's not to say there might be some positive aspect for you! Life does include win-win senerios sometimes. Also while I'm blowing off some steam and advice, just because you are an INTP doesn't give you the right or the excuse to live in the stereotype caricature of yourself. Make decisions and live with them or change them. Introduce yourself and smile at people. Look in the mirror before you leave the house! Take pride in the small accomplishments of everyday life, then at the end of your day, play sudoku, spider solitaire or whatever calms you down. When people don't take my advice, and I'm a mother and grandmother, so I'm used to it, I look at as - I've done my part, they are adults, or their own person, and they have every right to fail, just as I have time and time again. But I'm still here!

holy hell we INTPs are such internet lurkers; of all the types and videos about specific types, videos about us just always seem like they have the most views and comments i get that we like our ego to be stroked but it still amazes me how high the numbers are when it is about us is it because we like truth and knowledge so we naturally want to understand more about ourselves which leeds to a lot of us searching for these things? or was it because of our childish charisma that attracts others to look up about us more than any other types? or maybe we proof read so gosh darn much that we re-watch the video over 5 times and when we comment (which i see a lot of us do) not only do we proof read our own comment, we also proof read others comment and for weird reasons who knows what they may be, there's a metaphysic rabbit hole that we just keep going down further (cause i sure know i do) the only other types i see having relatively higher attention rate compared to most on this channel are the INFx and ISTP to a certain extent we sure dont have a big ego for nothing that is for sure

Hi, I'm an INTP, well, I'm about 78-90 percent sure. I have a question: 'Is it normal for an INTP to be afraid of the future?'. It's kind of odd, but I'm terrified by the chaos of human behavior. You can't really rely on intelligence or morality, the majority would expect you to do a stupid repetitive and worthless job and I can't be completely sure I'll be able to avoid that... I end up composing complicated plans of my future just to be able to calm down and be able to sleep, because I will die in an office - it's like slavery... The most horrible feeling is that I may have passed the opportunity to change things, which is crazy 'cause I'm still 19 and am successfully studying architecture... Anyway... Thanks for your videos...

i used to know this intp (i believe) friend. you are extremely on point... extremely. this guy was a red haired nerd who made me laugh harder than anyone i've ever met. i used to be amazed with his casual novel acumen. he often had me crying in laughter in class. he was a huge story teller (stories told over and over). i used to throw him random verbal stimulus (just throw ideas his way) to see his reaction. this man had, literally, zero friends in school (other than me) and i was generally considered somewhat popular and i would regularly leave larger popular groups of others to be around him for his insane entertainment value. he regularly called me a, "f'cking idiot," which made me laugh every time (he would be dead serious when doing this). oh, and btw, i had to beg him to hang out with me when he did... to know how strange this is, you just have to know our situation i guess (like i said, i had the extreme social upper hand that he didn't care about)... anyway, he knew a bunch of small anarchist type knowledge like what would happen if you did these strange things like stick gum wrapper in a socket, rob places in particular ways; it was wildly interesting. the lack of attention he got from others baffled me because he was so unique and extraordinary in my eyes. i was always intrigued how his mind worked. it was intimidating being around this guy with so much street wisdom and casual ability to function flawlessly when he felt like it. ...he's now a pothead (smokes 4 times a day). he did earn a casual master's degree in psychology that he doesn't do anything with. if i smoked like he did, i would fail classes in days. he had a 4.0...
