The Nadars were attacked by the Namboodiris from Kerala and the Vijayanagar from Tamil Nadu Maduria. Though they were trained in Adimurai and Kalari fights, poverty took over because for 100 years no trade and no money. That was the destruction of Nadan in Tamil Nadu. Then 1800 AD slowly came up and in the 18th Century with the help of Germans and British they took over Tamil Nadu again. Like any Dynasty Nadars had a fall for 120 years.

If you go by the scriptures Murugan Puranam/ Skand Puran clearly says that Sanskrit speaking Brahmin Agastya Muni created Tamil.
