The one you called the drummer is John Fogerty and is the lead singer, lead guitar and songwriter. Next to him is Stu Cook bassist. The blond is Tom Fogerty rhythm guitar and the bearded on is Doug Clifford the drummer.

@@matthawkins8880 I don't normally do this, but you are incorrect; it was written by Motown writers and was recorded by Gladys Knight and the Pips, The Miracles and Marvin Gaye, all in 1967/1968. CCR did it in 1970. I DO think that their version is best.

"Midnight Special" got me through some hard times. "Proud Mary" is a big one, "fortunate son", they have a cover of "heard it thru the grapevine" thats amazing and also 11 minutes long haha similar artists maybe consider three dog night - shambala, the band - up on cripple creek.

CCR and Little Feat are two bands that are honorary southern bands despite being from California. As a southerner myself, I have no idea how either of those bands were able to be so swampy from all the way out on the west coast, without being from here. They both have such a deep groove.

I heard a lady once say that when she was a child and heard them sing, "There's a bad moon on the right" she thought they were saying "There's a bathroom on the right." BTW, The guy on far left with the full beard is the drummer. The guy on the far right is the lead singer. You got that slightly wrong.

Been waiting for this one. My dads favorite song he used to do a little feet jig type dance to this song. Almost 2 yrs since he has been gone always makes me smile to see people react to a song that brought him so much happiness and good memories. With the anniversary of his passing coming up in a couple weeks I needed this today. Much love

Oh man, they did so many great songs. I always liked them, but they were very under-rated back in the sixties and seventies. Good to see they are starting to get played lately. I won't tell you which songs to play but you will find many gems if you look. Thanks for playing this one!

Actually that lead guitar you hear is the lead singer, John Fogerty alternates between rhythm and lead while singing! He’s a legend today and that path began in the mid 60’s with CCR!

The lead singer and lead guitarist was the man on the right. His name is John Fogerty. He has been recording albums and touring as a solo artist for almost a half-century. Creedence Clearwater Revival gave TV performances on several occasions. They appeared on "The Ed Sullivan Show" and "The Johnny Cash Show" (I think I saw them on his show as a young child).

They're definitely in the top 5, but I wouldn't rate them first. That goes to The Eagles. Love them or hate them, it's hard to argue against that. Especially given their number of hits, and that they have sold more albums than any other American band (160 million).

My top 5 U.S bands would be: CCR The Doors Lynyrd Skynyrd The Allman Brothers Band The Black Crowes And you could throw Van Halen and The Band in there too (I realise that would make it a top 7).

@@davescurry69 What's unique about Fogerty, is that I've never met one person who dislikes him. Literally nobody. I've met several people who hate groups like The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, The Who, The Beach Boys, and yes The Eagles. I know they're polarizing as hell, but their impact is unquestionable.

CCR was big from 1968 to 1972. They had dozens of hits and several best selling albums. They ultimately sold 27 million records.

About ten years ago when my son was eleven or so I played this song in the car. My son said "I know this song it's the bathroom on the right song." I said "the what?" He said listen to what he sings "it's bound to take your life, there's a bathroom on the right." Now that's what I hear whenever this song plays and I think of my son. Van, I would love to see you react to Long As I Can See The Light by CCR.

CCR is on the soundtrack of most movies about Vietnam. Their music was played a lot by our young people who got thrown into that horror. “Fortunate Son” is about the poor kids going off to war while the rich kid has “bone Spurs” 😎 “Run Through The Jungle” “Born On The Bayou” “Have You Ever Seen The Rain” “I Put A Spell On You” Just a few to get you started 😁☮️🌼♥️

This is one of my fathers favourites ( he introduced me to so much 60's and 70' music, so I've grown up on this kinda music. And no... never felt a violent wibe ever.

Fun fact: CCR's *Bad moon rising* was used for 1981's classic comedy horror *An American werewolf in London.* Directed by *John Landis* who also directed *Animal house* and *The Blues Brothers* 😎
