My friend Eli is a street photographer, and he invited me to drive up to Chicago with him during Saint Patrick’s Day. We had a blast shooting around! I met many cool people and am happy with how the images came out! I'll just have to remember to bring warm gloves next time…

That is right! I'm actually really fond of footage that's been shot by hand, whether it is a full movie or a short movie like this one here because I think it brings out the whole motion of surroundings even more, especially people ☺

I believe my export and upload settings help retain much of the detail even with KZfaq’s compression. Export Settings: Format - QuickTime Codec - Apple ProRes Type - Apple ProRes 422 Resolution - 3840 x 2160 Ultra HD The Vimeo upload retains even more detail.

This is really beautiful. I love the feeling I get seeing all these strangers going about their day, with the shaky cam making it feel like a really candid moment while the color grade really feels like 8mm film

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS! The way the shakiness was involved with the film grain is beautiful. It's like each strangers has a story to tell and we get a glimpse of it! I love this natural vibe so much. It feels nostalgic especially with the color grading!

Phenomenal... The juxtaposition of the vintage presentation with the modern scenes demonstrates a timelessness found in daily life. On this platform it plays well with the "old film footage recolored and stabilized" that trends sometimes. It makes me feel melancholy and excited at the same time. I would really like to see this as a series depicting other cultures. I think simply presenting the commonalities found would engender a feeling of world peace.

This reminds me of a Wong Kar Wai film. The color saturation, dutch angles, slight shakiness (that's still smooth), dreamlike quality, really gives off that impression.

Everything you've mentioned, and this video itself, reminds me of the 4K remastered of WKW's "Happy Together". The vibrant color grading with softly lighting, and tasty film grain makes it enough for me to can't help but like this so much. I wish that I could be able to done this same visual quality with my photos in Lightroom 😉☺

Felt such a strong rush of nostalgia at 0:28 - at that point it felt like I leapt into the future and was watching something from like 50 years ago or something.
